A rail was removed? What do you mean by this. I hadn't heard this before. Can you give more details? Thanx

Does anyone think, that just maybe Disney will give the plans for the third ship. And since it will be built in Eroupe it will do cruises there unill September when it would come home to prt Canaveral while the magic, since a rail was removed so it could go through the canal, would do a world cruiseand maybe permanatly moved to the West Coast? just a thought.

Huh? I was on the Magic in the Canal, she sailed through just fine in August. In May there was a scrape on the hull, but that was all.

As far as a third ship, no ship builders have any listing for DCL deliveries. I think they will build a third ship, and I think they will have one of them in LA. They had no problem selling out the limited cruises on the west coast and almost all the east coast cruises sell out, so from a profit standpoint, it make sense. Plus, ships can be built in Japan and (GASP) the United States!

As far as a world cruise, the ones that are out there now start at about 25K USD per adult in the lowest category, DCL would bump that up at least 25%. How would a family of 3 or 4 be able to afford it? To say nothing of all the additional expenses for any shore excursions, port and government taxes and fees, and making sure that everything at home is taken care of. Very few American families have the ability to take off work for 3 or more months and still get paid. A world cruise is quite an undertaking. I am not saying it's a bad idea, but I don't think DCL will ever commit to it.

1. Magic awaits. The Queen just loves the pie.
2. Magic and Wonder waits. We sail tomorrow for uncharted waters.
3. Magic awaits - Hot lava has gone to the birds.
4. Enjoying the Pigeons and the embrace
5. Locked in with the count.
6. Our monkeys are not apes.

1.Queen conch and key lime pie the answer is Key West

2. I think the Magic and the Wonder are going to dock together at Castaway Cay, before the Magic sets sail for uncharted Waters ie Europe

3. The Canary Isles are Volcanic and a Canary is a Yellow bird yes a stop in the Canaries

4. England for sure!!!!

5. No idea about the Count, but possibly somewhere in France for Disneyland Paris

6. Monkeys not Apes Gibralter for sure.

That's my 2 pennies worth
Roll on Tuesday I'll be one very happy English girl if the magic comes to Southampton.

Hmmmmm.. I just looked at Off Kilter's schedule for this week. They have an early show just on Tuesday :thumbsup2 I wonder if Jamie is going to play the pipes that day! ;)

Now if they do the British Isles, a performance by Off Kilter on the ship would be in order!! What more can you ask!!  :rotfl:

Debbie

Of Course the French Port could be St Malo for Mont St Michel with the medals
So the tea cup would match the English Clue, the postcard from Gibralter matches the Gibralter clue.
I wonder what goes with key west castaway cay or the canaries better go and check

When I was on the Westbound Panama Canal cruise, The president of the cruseline Tom A.(I don't know how to spell his lst name), said durring a presitantion on the ship a rail had to be removed used for painters to stand on for the sip to fit in the canal. And for the world cruise, all crusie lines sell thouse as either one whole cruise or in 2 week segments. DCL could do that.

I was thinking about this....the northern route from NYC across the atlantic would make it easy for them to come into Le Havre on the european bound repo cruise.......maybe they want to come into Le Havre once so they can make a big deal about the anniversary of DLP (since Le Havre is obviously closer to Paris than anything on the Mediterranean) .....and then they'll reposition from there down to barcelona or wherever as their home port for the summer......
I think eastern repo PC>CC Maybe an east coast stop>New York, then somewhere like Halifax Nova Scotia, or St Johns Newfoundland, cross to either Southampton (or Azores), via north Altantic.

Then next trip. La Have, Portugal, Gibralter, and into the MED. Then 11/10 day trips France, Italy Spain, as my previous posts.Possiblly including some of these:-

Barcelona, Spain. **
Palma, Majorca, **
Mahon, Menorca.*
Tunis, Tunisia. **
Naples, Italy, **
Livorno for Florence and Pisa, Italy. **
Civitavecchia for Rome, Italy. **
Marseille,NiceFrance. **Monte Carlo
Messina, Sicily.
Valletta,Malta.
Ibiza Town, Ibiza
Gibraltar.
Olbia, Sardinia.
Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Dalmatia cruising.
Venice, Italy,
Corfu Town, Corfu, Greece

Repo back might be via Canary Islands re the clues, on a more southern Altanitic route.( possible include Bermuda).

Key West of course the compass which has pointed North East most of the time on one day it pointed West.

So now just to find clues to fit Castaway Cay and the Canaries
and work out how the Count fits in with St Malo/ I like the idea of Le Havre too and you can still visit Mont St Michel from there , but not sure how the Count fits there either.

I so desparately want the Magic to come to my home port of Portsmouth that I've managed a dubious connection with the Pigeons. Portsmouth is home to the Victory, Nelson's famous Flagship and it's Nelson's Statue in London which is famous for it's pigeons ( like in Mary Poppins) Not sure how to connect embrace although a dictionary definition is Welcome and we would give the Magic a really BIG Welcome!!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It's good to be back catching up on all of the posts here!

We were sitting in the Orlando airport yesterday waiting for our return flight home... I saw a headline on someone's newspaper, Orlando Sentinel. I wanted to go and grab the paper out of his hands, but I thought better of it! :rotfl:

Disney to announce cruise itinerary

Here's the article. Doesn't say much more thatn we've already figured out, but here you go:

Tim Barker
Sentinel Staff Writer

March 18, 2006

Disney Cruise Line will announce plans next week for a new summer itinerary for its Disney Magic ship.

The company won't say where the ship -- which spent time last summer on the West Coast -- will be sailing until the Tuesday announcement.

"There are a lot of rumors about where we are going to go next," said spokeswoman Rena Langley.

Much of that speculation actually has been created by Disney, which has listed Alaska, Hawaii, the Mediterranean and the South China Sea among the options.

During the past couple of summers, Disney has made a habit of using its two ships -- the Disney Wonder is the sister ship of the Magic -- for unique cruise offerings.

The summer of 2005 saw the Magic operating out of the Port of Los Angeles as part of the company's 50th anniversary celebration for Disneyland. This summer, the Wonder will offer its first 10- and 11-night cruises in the Southern Caribbean, while the Magic will offer trips into the Western Caribbean.

One longtime Disney observer is convinced the 2007 itinerary will be a European cruise based out of the Mediterranean.

Mary Waring runs Mousesavers.com, an Internet site dedicated to helping people find Disney discounts.

It would be a natural move to operate in Europe, in order to bolster attendance at Disneyland Resort Paris and to get closer to overseas customers, she said.

"There are a lot of Europeans who would love to do the cruise but don't want to come over here to do it," Waring said.

I still think the bubbles in he coffee is Tunis, Tunisia, aribic Coffee, with a second chance of Morocco. There are two options on the Hot lava meeting the birds, Naples and the Canary Islands.

It would be nice to see the Magic in the UK, I think Southampton, but Porstmouth is an equal option, it would be excllent to see in London, but it would add days ot any trip, and I do not know how far it could get down, maybe Tilbury under the QE2 Bridge, but thats still a trip into central London.

Looks like a new clue has been added. Long/Lat points to 'Acrueil - Ile de France. I can't translate the morse code - tried before and was hopeless. Looking forward to what it says. The compass is now pointing due North and the paper is the 'Great Britain Gazette'. Arcueil is a suburb of Paris France. The Gazette paper states - after more than a week of strange messages and false leads....maybe they are taking us on a wild goose chase with all these morse messages??

Found this on the Arcueil website:

Arcueil, autrefois appelé Arcaloï, tire son nom des arcades du premier aqueduc construit au IIIe siècle pour amener les eaux de Rungis au Palais des Termes, l'actuel Musée de Cluny. Rattaché, tout comme le hameau de Cachan, à la paroisse de Gentilly, le village développe des activités liées à son environnement. La ville est aussi appréciée comme lieu de villégiature. La construction au XVIIe siècle de l'aqueduc dit "Médicis" donne de l'importance au village

Obviously it's in French but is saying that the name is from the aqueduct constructed in the 3rd century to bring water. Another aqueduct was later constructed. Now, if Arcueil is a suburb of Paris, obviously it is not a Port - so maybe the reference is to the aqueducts and therefore Rome? A stretch - but what isn't in this game LOL

Can't wait for the morse - and PS whoever posts, maybe let me know how you translate from the sound on the ticker before it actually gets written out?

This is the same page that has been up since Friday.....the morse code is OUR MONKEYS ARE NOT APES...

I still think all of the Long/Lat (including this one Paris) is where the ship is NOT going!!

#2-Magic is docked at Castaway Cay and Wonder waits to dock the following day. Big party that night as Magic leaves Castaway Cay after sundown with pirate party on both ships and the pirates fly through the air from the Magic to the Wonder and then back to the Magic. Movie of Pirates on the big screen with cast from the latest POC movie! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Seriously though, I believe that only one ship can dock at CC at a time. Could you imagine both ships trying to dock and then passengers getting confused trying to get back on the wrong ship?

Can't wait until Tuesday. What time? 12:01 a.m. EST?

Probably not that early.

The Sept 2006 Wonder 10 and 11 night cruises were released to the public at Noon EST the day that they were released. It freaked out CMs when we started calling just minutes after they'd been told.

Also, it is said that the announcement will be made at Epcot (probably at the British, French and/or Italy pavillions). Since the Showcase doesn't even open until 11am EST, a noon announcement sounds reasonable.

The DCL website usually isn't updated right away, but there's a slim chance it'll have the info right at or shortly after the announcement.

That's possible.....so they aren't going to PARIS, what about another port in France? ;)

I've been looking all over for the info on the announcement being made live from EPCOT. Does anyone have the info on this...

The 21st can't come soon enough!

I think the TV news stations in Orlando are saying that....

Makes sense, since the California based cruises were announced in Disneyland. I imagine they'd make a huge hoopla about the announcement, not just meekly roll it out on the website and leave it at that.
