Hi
My parents retired in the past year and spent two months in AZ. One of their friends suggested Myrtle Beach for this year. They stay at a place called The Palace, which is a huge high rise of condos right on the beach. My parents said we could come stay for a while too. We could get a two bedroom ocean view condo for $787 with AAA for my bros and dh and me the week before Easter. I was floored at how inexpensive it was! The place looks pretty decent and the people who recommend it are some-what high class so we trust their opinion. However, I did see quite a few negative feedback posts on TripAdvisor.

My questions are...
1. Anyone heard of the Palace and have any reviews?
2. Anyone have any other accommodation recommendations on the beach?
3. Any general Myrtle Beach advice or insider info???

Thanks!!!
Gotta start that Spring Break planning already to get good airfare and a decent place!

The Palace is next to where we usually stay when in MB, I've never stayed here, but it looks pretty. I like the location of the Palace==a little south of the main area, but still very much in the thick of the action.

We usually hit the outlets at least once a trip. Broadway at the beach has a ton of restaurants, movie theatres, shops. Its a very popular area. OUr favorite place to eat in MB is north of where you are staying--we love the Sea Captains Table; it's ocean front and the food is really good. River Cuty Cafe makes a great burger.

Have a great trip--going just before Easter will make dealing with the crowds alot easier!

I have never stayed at the Palace, but it looks pretty from the outside -not the kind of place I would avoid based on first impression. As NCRedding says, Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing are always "must do" for us. Lots of shopping, food, and entertainment. If you get sick of seafood try a nice prime rib or rack of ribs at Damon's on the Waterfront. It is located on the south side of Ocean Blvd. Ask to sit on the deck and enjoy the sea breeze.

Does anyone have a link to the monthly average temps in the Myrtle Beach area? :)
