Myrtle Beach exchange?

Has anyone ever stayed at any of the Myrtle Beach locations offered through DVC via II? Just wondering what your experiences were with any of those resorts. (I am not interested in hearing that it isn't the best use of points, etc.....I am curious about the resorts and facilities!)

I stayed at Marriott's Ocean Watch Villas (thru an II getaway, not an exchange). I'm not sure if it's on the DVC list of eligible exchanges yet or not, but if not it probably will be soon.
This really is an excellent resort, brand new, beach front. Adjacent to a new Marriott hotel. It's in the northern portion of Myrtle Beach, but still south of North Myrtle Beach, Dixie Stampede, Barefoot Landing, etc. (If I recall, it was about 79th St.)
There will be construction at the site for the next few years. The two beachfront buildings are complete, but the three buildings set back a bit are not. When I was there they were constructing a parking building.

It is on the list and should be considered a top choice one's it's done. I don't know the area well enough to answer the questions as asked. Go to TUG and join, then read the reviews on all on the list.

most of the timeshares are converted hotels.

I would go with the new marriott or pick another place.

although I have heard that the new marriott is not as close to the action as some of the older timeshares.
