We have been to Myrtle Beach during the summer months, but are thinking of heading there for Thanksgiving this year. We don't usually hang out at the beach everyday during summer vacations, but the kids do like to go and play in the sand/walk on the beach and collect shells. Anyone know how is the weather that time of year and what is open to do??? Any opinions on vacationing there during late fall????

We have been going to MB every Thanksgiving for years. We camp at Ocean Lakes campground because we take the dogs. They can go on the beach anytime at that time of the year but neither of them really like it.I have seen weather vary from 30 degrees one year to 75-80 the next. We always go Black Friday shopping and we have a blast. There is PLENTY to do at the beach!!! I don't think you will be disappointed if you go.

Piglet...we are thinking of doing this too! We are in Mass. and grammy and grampy are in SC, so we thought it would be a great gathering place. Now I am looking at where to stay.

We figure even if it is frezzing, it will be warmer than Mass.

We have stayed at the Caravel and it was okay. We are looking at some other places too - anyone have any suggestions??? Rates look very reasonable for that time of year.
