Myra Hindley Has Died

Good grief Emma...why on earth would you be banned?

The woman was a convicted child murderer and then some! I certainly wouldn't go as far as saying I'm glad she's dead, but I don't have any sympathy after what she and Ian Brady did to those poor little kiddies - my only sympathy is with the people who's lives are still ruined by the legacy of death they left behind :(

Hearing people on the news last night who were members of the campaign to free her just made me squirm in my chair....she was supposedly very sorry and had been led astray by Ian Brady...BAH! Doesn't make what she did any less evil though, does it?

Penny If I wrote what i REALLY thought of her and Ian Brady after hearing those tapes with the little girl.....well there would be some strong language / views thats for sure. I want to say that im glad she's dead i really do, i didnt agree with my taxes paying for her education ect - oh i cant carry this on as i feel really strongly about it.

Emma

I'm not a big death penalty proponent, but this lady would have been six feet under 25 years ago in this country.

I have never heard of this...this is horrible!!!!

I believe also that these two people should have been taken care of a long time ago!
To torture and murder children is the worst thing ever!
Zero tolerance.

Good riddance:mad: Hope she's rots in hell!!!

Don't want to drag these boards down, but the death she had was too good for her, she never suffered like her victims did, the ***** can burn in hell. Just my opinion.

Words from me own mouth Johann, Pet.

I was shocked to hear the news on the radio last night as I drove home.
Not shocked in a 'loss' sense, but that this evil woman had been given an obituary on National Radio as if a 'celebrity' had passed away.
Those who would have us believe she was a weak follower of an evil man who was so sincerely sorry for any sorrow and inconvenience she caused want to give their heads a shake. The woman should have been strung up in the 60s or let out in the 80s when she'd have got the 'justice' she really deserved.

Rot in Hell?
Too good in my opinion.

Oops! Touched a nerve there, Emma :(

From yahoo -
Hindley is understood to have ordered that none of her organs should be offered for transplant and detailed that she wanted to be cremated and her ashes scattered at a secret location

She had the temerity to order what she wanted after her death!!!!
She should be left to rot openly on Saddleworth Moors - just like she left the kids bodies!

I thought that was an odd statement. I did not realize prisoners got to choose what happened to them after they died.
I am not sure if that happens here in the states or not. I don't think it does.

It was the strangest thing, when they abnnounced on the news that Hindley had died,my DH and me simultaneously (sp) punched the air and said YES.Words cannot describe what I would also like to do to Longford and anybody that petitioned for her release.

That sentance was given in the days when this country would not tolerate our children being harmed. In the paper yesterday was the case where a man who had raped a 4 year old girl (and the paediatrician said at the trial ,hers were the worst injuries he had seen in a 35 year career) was given a sentance that meant he would serve only 18 months because of a directive from 'above' not to give too stringent sentancing because of over crowding in our prisons. How disgusting is that? And that is just one of the reasons I believe this country is falling to pieces.

Same thing is going on over here Kazzie. It's nauseating.

I knew a girl in college who had been raped. She did what she was supposed to do, went immediately to the hospital (they were able to get good evidence), and contacted the police. The case was airtight and the guy was found guilty; he received a sentence of 11 years. Because of overcrowding in the Texas prison system, he only served 13 months. To top it all off, when the let him out, he moved back into her apartment complex. She moved soon after that. :(

I agree with Elise, she should be wrapped in sacking & buried on the moor like her victims. I think it is disgusting that she has been able to state what she wants to happen to her body.

I was a teenager at the time living in the area that these innocent children was taken from. I can't begin to tell you of the terror we felt as we walked the streets at this time. Previous to this we had felt quite safe. Life changed for all living in the area's around Tameside. I certainly do not mourn her death.

She's now where she should have been 32 years ago - rotting in hell. I can't believe that we have actually been paying to keep that evil women warm and fed for that long. 32 years of paying to keep that ***** alive when the money should have gone to the families who suffered. I am not a great supporter of capital punishment but for extreme cases like this it should be an option.

That wouldn't be fair to the natural beauty of the moors.

I thought it strange at first that the police were "guarding" the body - in other words - like someone else posted - giving her celebrity status. What the police were most likely doing was stopping it being mutilated. Huh, she was dead, mutilation was no good at that point.

Hope she rots in Hell and the families of her and Brady's victims can find some sort of peace now.
