I read the page, it talks about Lucky Points, no My Points. Interesting that I have been getting tons of LP emails in the last 2 weeks. I casshed out based on what the bebsite says. I had 17006 points but can't cash them all out. Oh well, I got 10 dollars out of them this time, I got 25 before, all for clicking.

SOrry, I didn't see that. Interesting since they have redone the site so recently and seem to be still sending out all kinds of emails.

It wouldn't surprise me to see EBay as the buyer, they seem to be doing a lot of buying of things these days.

I cashed out at Mypoints on September 12th and I checked my account today and it says "fufilled" September 19th. I usually get my reward in my account within days of just redeeming but so far nothing

I got my GC from mypoints yesterday. If UAL has to sell MP as part of thier bancruptcy emergence, I wonder how will take it on. They came out with a MP Visa, used to be a Mastercard. This make me think that MP will be around for a while longer.

RADOPT is correctly stating that My Points is to be sold according to the website linked in the OP. The article RADOPT was referring to is currently halfway down the homepage of compare rewards.com. There is a newer article about My Points balances closer to the top of the page.

I cashed out for 4 Wal Mart GC on Friday 9/23. They arrived in the mail yesterday, 9/27.

I cashed out my points for 2 Wal mart gc's, but have some points left, but not enough to get anything.

Also cashed out my DH's points for 2 Barnes & Noble gc's, that way I can get new Disney books for 2006. Also had points left in his, but not enough to get anything.

Hoping to get some more emails in enough time to use up the rest of our points.

I'm not saying that you guys are wrong but I am wondering why you feel that because they are being sold that it means they will be going out of business?? Just curious.

Ordered several GC's last week and they cam in today's mail! WooHoo.

As to why I cashed out - if the company was sold, there's no telling what changes will happen (major changes or nothing at all). At least I got the GC's I wanted. If the program stays as is or improves, I'll just rack up more points for new GC's.

Better safe than sorry.

I agree with the uncertainty. I try to cash out when I hit a level that lets me, I have been getting Darden's GCs (Red Lobster, etc). I can send them to my mother, she goes out to lunch and loves to have them. They may be small amounts ($10), but she is 87 and milks that senior citizen rate for all it's worth and every penny counts at that age.
