I have been wondering this for a long time and finally decided to ask: What is up with the "Avon points are different than Mypoints and can not be used to redeem Mypoints awards" or something to that affect? It seems more than a little misleading to me to get an email from Mypoints saying "earn 1000 pts. for a $40 purchase" (just making up an example), and then in the fine print it says the points can't be used for Mypoints redemptions. Does anyone have any experience with this? In addition, I don't see anything on the Avon website about earning or spending points, so what CAN the points be used for? I must be missing something :confused3

Although some will disagree with me, I have always received the points as Mypoints points, not avon points. I don't even keep track of those. So the 1000 points you earn with a $40 purchase (or as I have done recently, with a 99 cent avon purchase for the mypoints/avon valentines deal) are 1000 mypoints, not avon points.

Avon points is when you sign up to be in Avon's loyalty club.
For every dollar you spend at Avon.com (even if you shop with My Points) you will earn Avon points that could get you discounts on Avon products and the like.

You will get all your My Points credit, plus you can get Avon's separate point credit.

I've used the link in My Points and received all the My Points credit. You don't have to do the Avon points if you don't want to. You have to sign up with Avon directly for that.

If My Points says it's 500 pts. for a certain purchase you'll get the 500 points.
