***MyMagic+ & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

I've been trying to select FP+ selections today and it works a lot better through the website on a computer than it does using the app on an iPhone or iPad. The app is odd and seems designed for parties of 4 or less. Despite our party of 5 having the same FP+ reservations most of the time, it insists that the experiences are only for a party of 4. On the website, it displays "Party of 5" properly and lists all of our names, while the app only says "Party of 4" and leaves my wife off of all of them. Watch out for that behavior if you have a group larger than 4.

We decided today to book a trip November 1-5, staying at POFQ. I hadn't prepared at all for the changes and now I'm feeling overwhelmed. We booked through the website and I'm seeing our reservation now on the MDE app. Nothing is showing up under tickets, even though I booked them. Is this normal? Should we be able to select magic band colors? Is POFQ even doing it then? What about fastpass - should this be something we book prior or just do like we used to? Feeling overwhelmed! Thank you!!

POFQ is not currently testing, not is anything known for November yet. So I wouldn't worry about it at all at this point.

I think it can take a couple days for package tickets to appear.

My 15year old lost her band in Epcot. We went to guest services and they gave her a new one. No charge

Not sure what the plan is during testing. Reportedly, the first replacement is free (gray only I believe), and the second is a $50 charge.

Do you know if the resorts that have already tested will remain on the list ??

Resorts that have taken part in the main testing (not including BLT, which was a limited DVC test), have continued through each round.

No way to know if that would continue, but I'd say it's very likely that they wouldn't take it out of a resort at this point.

We are getting bands for testing in October. Does anyone know if we keep these bands for our next trip (May 2014) or do they need to be replaced? I know that the bands are supposed to be re-used but I was wondering if we re-use initial testing bands.

Don't lose hope. I'm at Coronado Springs right now. I wasn't supposed to be able to use my MB until I get to AKL on Tues. But my band works as my room key. I also used it to enter MK this morning, and paid for breakfast @ CP with it. My FP+ is still not available on MDE until Tues. But the CM at the concierge desk was able to reserve my 3 FP+ times for Epcot later today.

Like I said, I did NOT expect to be able to use MB or FP+ until Tuesday. Now I will have it for my whole trip. It's all pixie dust, and I'm loving it.

Did you have to have your band activated at the front desk at Coronado or did you say something to the staff or did it just work on your room?

Finally, I think I said this already but I found FP+ for parades going through the PLAN link even thought they weren't showing up through my FP+ link. Not that I got one...but it was there!!!

I found it! I'm going to keep checking back here to see if they ever add Wishes again for us Octoberans... hahaha... thanks for the tip! :cool1:

From the MagicBand & Cards FAQ:
Q. Can I reuse my MagicBand or card the next time I visit Walt Disney World Resort?

A. Yes. If you have a MagicBand or card that you like, and it is in working condition, you can continue to use it when you return to Walt Disney World Resort.

MagicBands are currently being tested by a limited number of pre-selected Guests. Due to the nature of the test, we are unable to accommodate requests to participate.

If you have multiple MagicBands or cards, you can manage which ones are active in the MagicBand section of My Profile.

POR starts using MagicBands tomorrow, and I've been given the impression that the intention (barring any major problems anyway) is that the process will probably continue directly on into the full-blown live service. i.e. although this is technically classed as a test, it is unlikely that it will terminate on the nominal end-date of 31st October but will carry on after then.

This seems like a slow rollout rather then a test

I'm confused, how are people able to double dip while testing FP+ ? If they are using MB to enter the parks, how do the KTTW cards work in the FP machines? I thought you needed to have the KTTW card scanned upon entry in order for them to work in FP machines.

I believe that the technology you describe in your last sentence has been switched of for the testing period...

Right now we have 8day PH tickets but are still debating on adding the water park option. We probably will wait to add it until we get down there. We obviously will already have our magic bands already. How does this work with a ticket change?

It's Disney Magic. :wizard:

In reality, all at least fairly recent KTTW cards, whether or not they have ticket entitlements or used to scan in to enter the parks, are currently working.

Does anyone know if this includes party tickets? We are going to both MNSSHP and MVMCP our next trip.

No idea yet. Don't think anyone has tried a party ticket yet since there hasn't been a party yet. But so far it only applies to KTTW cards.
