***MyMagic+ & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

About the park hoppers, most people don't research like we do. A lot of people won't know to book FP+ 60 days in advance, or go to rope drop, or book 180 ADR's so they will continue to buy park hoppers because Disney tells them it is a great idea. It always sounds like a great idea until I get there and realize I don't like taking the time to travel back and forth. Yet, I always get the park hopper option, just in case. What I am trying to say is that it is easy money for Disney to still offer it even though we may not need it. It always works out to their favor with my family. We get it and rarely use it.

We rarely get it. Actually only once. That was this past may b/c we spent 10 night at BC. Wanted to hop to Epcot in the evenings. Otherwise it's too pricey to justify for a family of 5.

It is nearly impossible to not get if you are staying in the Boardwalk area. We have to walk in for food and adult beverages all the time! :) Food and Wine is tough too, because I sign up for those seminars and classes and need to wander back and forth among the parks.

We always have to get hoppers, because we would never stay an entire day at some parks, like MK since we live close to DL and it's so similar. We would usually only spend half day or a night there.

I thought the CMs already had at it, and then they did the guest testing...interesting that they seem to be going back to CM testing...

They did CM testing with dining plans a couple weeks ago but we missed that one. This one is focused on whether the magic bands can actually do it all and testing CM knowledge on how to work/fix/change FP+ selections.

Put me in the park hopper category as well (well PAP now that we are DVC)

My kids are still to young where much of the other 3 parks will hold their attention for a full day. So we usually end up back at MK at night on 70% of our trip.

Likewise for solo, sr adult and those traveling without kids. You could easily tour 2 parks a day if you by pass the kid type rides.

Wonder why they would do a guest test and then after it was called a success switch to CM testing.

Seems that maybe the guests didn't test as much of the features as Disney had hoped for. Just a thought.

About half the time I get a "Page Not Found" when trying to get the FAQ page, so it doesn't appear to be fully published yet.

But if you think the FAQ is accurate, here is their Rider Switch FAQ, which if you've ever used Rider Switch before, you know is inaccurate (3, not 2, guests are allowed to enter on a Rider Switch pass, you don't all enter the queue and you don't wait in a designated area, with a couple of exceptions.)

The not definitely accurate FAQ said:
The total number of FastPass+ experiences available to you during your visit depends on several factors including availability and the vacation packages and tickets linked to your Disney account. Generally, FastPass+ eligible Guests are able to select one set of FastPass+ experiences each day for every valid theme park ticket linked to their account.

Sounds like tiered access and pay-for FastPass addons are in the future. :furious:

It appears that DVC is officially excluded from all testing opportunities:
Over the coming months, Guests with select Magic Your Way vacation packages will be notified that they may participate in MyMagic+ testing, which includes FastPass+ eligibility.

I was just coming to post that too (about 4 FPs.)

It says "up to 4 FastPass+ attractions" which implies that 4 is a maximum and not always available.

Wonder if 4 will be allowed in any of the upcoming tests.

It appears that DVC is officially excluded from all testing opportunities:

Only if you take the FAQ to be accurate. Not something Disney is known for.

In another thread, it is reported that people with upcoming stays at BLT are getting notifications of testing eligibility.

Good! It seems odd that a huge number of Disney Resort guests would be excluded.

Not necessarily, that blurb may simply mean they're not going to become eligible via MYW packages that they don't have, not that there is no other way for them to be eligible. As stated above, there is some reports of DVC members staying at BLT being notified of a testing opportunity.

Does anyone else have an add FP+ option under their MDE drop down on the website that wasn't there before? Dare I click on it?
