Not sure if this will help, I did a split stay offsite then on site (currently on day 2 of onsite). I had my tickets already though, from UT. I was able to link those tickets a couple weeks before arriving and customise my band. I used the paper tickets for the off site days with no problem and my bands were at resort for me and working fine with the linked tickets yesterday.

The only issue I'm having is I can't change any of my FP+ selections on the app for some reason. I could do so at the in park kiosk yesterday and concierge was able to do changes last night for me. He thinks it has something to do with me having a gap in my park days between when I was off site and yesterday.

Ok so I just called the Magic Bands Help Desk...

MNSSHP tickets she said don't link and you will still need the hard ticket for entry...

Photopass currently won't link but to keep checking that is the direction they are going in

Thats interesting, My tickets are linked and show up under my account. I assigned them to my party members and everything, even has the date of the event listed.

Yep, me too. I linked them over a month ago when I received them in the mail.

Being in canada mine are selected as will call pick up, but I was still able to link them with my confirmation number. I will probably pick them up from guest services to be safe, but might just play it off and see what happens when I say there linked to my band.
 
Booked my 9 night stay at the Pop Century Resort via Hotels.com and after a few calls to hotels.com, I managed to successfully link the reservations to MDE. I added my family members to my account. I am hoping for an invite to use the Magic Bands. Is there anything else I should do to help me get an invite? I haven't bought my tickets yet but plan on doing so from Undercover Tourist soon.

When is your trip? You do need to link tickets to be able to use Magic Bands. But once you do that you should be good to go.

Hey Mike, I'm booked for Nov 4th. I was going to order my park hopper tickets from Undercover Tourist as soon as I clarify that it would only cost me 10 bucks each to add 1 extra day to my 5 day park hopper ticket after one use.

So once I get these tickets, I can manually link them to MDE correct? Once this is done, do they automatically allow me to order and customize my magic bands?? I have 68 days (yes the countdown is on yay) to go so I do have time to get these done in time. ;)

November isn't open yet so keep watching until it is posted that November is open.

I would say its very likely as pop has been included in the aug and sept tests. I doubt it will happen right away, but you should be good to go if and when they extend the tests.
 
Has anyone done this with Florida Resident Tickets? My boyfriends family is coming up for a visit and they will be staying at AoA and using Florida resident tickets. I want to make sure they will be able to use FP+.

You need to link park admission to use the MagicBands for park entry and FP+. You can still get and use MagicBands for room entry and charging if you don't link admission.

Just got my invite for Magic Bands today for our trip in mid-September... so excited!!! :cool1:

I linked my reservation and our passes but it won't let me customize my bands. It keeps throwing up an HTML error. Does this happen often on the website? I guess I should just keep trying everyday?
 
So I tried entering the bog fastpass+ site and I go to put in my reservation number but it does not allow me to put in the letters in my reservation number. Anyone else have that issue or any idea how I can get around it? Thank you in advance.

We booked our tix thru Small World Vacations, so not directly thru Disney. The only confirmation number I had was a resort reservation number that has letters and isn't very long. But, if you've already personalized MagicBands, try this....
Log into your Disney account on the MDE full site....not the mobile app. Then, on the right side choose the "Personalize MagicBand" option that's among all the other choices. Once you do that, you should see your resort name and then a reservation number. It's a long number without letters. I think if you use that number, it would work for your BOG Fastpass +. Good luck!!
