im trying to set up MDE for my family. It is me, my husband and our 5 year old. The child and I are showing up as 'family' and my husband is showing up as 'friend'. Does this matter? Will I still be able to book dining and FP for all 3 of us? If it does matter, how do I fix it??
You should be able to make bookings for them all as they are all under you MDE, i show up as 'adult' on my wifes MDE and she does all the booking. The important thing is that it shows your plans are shared and that you can plan for them. I am no expert with the MDE so i expect some more experienced users will be more specific, but so long as they are showing up you should be golden.
Not sure why that might be, but I do know that I can't edit any of my wife's or my mom's details on MDE as they both have their own Disney accounts so they have to make edits themselves. But I think they show up under family for me.
What I don't like is that if people came with us once, who were friends of friends, and I added them to book fastpasses for them for the one day they came, now I can't get rid of them from my account even though I will never go with them again. Not to mention my cousin's ex who I won't go with again either whose name is now permanently on my account.

I had this same situation from friends who went with to Epcot 2 years ago. I had heard you can call IT to have them taken off but I didn't get around to it and when planning for my next trip their names had disappeared. So maybe names "expire" after some inactivity?
