My Wii Fit

I don't have a Wii and have been considering it, mainly because of Wii fit. I've been thinking there might be deals to be had right now. This thread is interesting. I wear shoes because my feet are bad and I have carpet where I use it. HMM.

My main concern, however, hasn't been addressed here. I'm not extremely obese, but I am the heaviest in my family since dh and the boys all struggle to keep enough weight ON. If I program my weight and other info in, can they see it? I hate to say it, but this is seriously a deal breaker for me!

Can anyone answer my question?

You can password protect your stats so that nobody but you can see your weight, BMI, etc.

We got ours on Christmas and DD9 is playing it as we speak. I'm better to go it alone b/c I can concentrate better....but some of the games are so much fun that we just have to compete!

DD9 can be heard now screaming at her Mii on the obstacle course. :rotfl2:

I just started the wii fit after Christrmas! Loving it and really find it a great work out. Especially because you can mix it up and not do the same excersize each time. I am considered obese and have used the password system as well.

I loved the beginning of this thread talking about the groan when you step on. I think that every time I step on, i am hurting the little guy in the TV. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

When you are setting up your info it gives you the option to set a password so that others cant see your weight. There is a weight limit on the Fit too. Not sure what your weight is, but the limit is 330 pounds I think.

Thanks! I'm nowhere near the limit, but when you live with a bunch of underweight people it can sure seem like it!

Mine says "oh" as if I'm squishing her. But she says it in that cute little kids voice so it's not so offensive.

Yeah, sure...I always imagine that it's barely restraining itself from saying, "Oh.......OH DEAR GOD GET OFF ME NOW! WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN EATING?!!"

even if you password protect your stats, the first time you get on it your MII will change. My was regular size, then we got wii fit and she grew, bigger. At least it doesn't stay that size when it shows up in other games.

I stepped on the WII Board for the first time in June 2008. I hit the board running at 208 lbs.

I felt the same way as many on this thread, throw it out the window. That little voice is an excellent motiviator. The BMI rating of obese was a bigger motivator!

After about 6 months, I would only use WII Fit for a daily weigh in. As of today, I'm holding steady at 168 lbs.

Good Job!! :woohoo:Which games, exercises(sp) did you do? And for how long? Where you on any other weight loss plan?

Having fun with Wii fit and the games too. Learning left side of my body is apparently a mess, lol. It's weaker and stiffer. Interesting.

Hey me too, but I knew this way before WiiFit. But I have great balance when I do the yoga pose the warrior. But the tree? OMG I cannot balance on one leg and put my foot on my other knee. I really am trying to concentrate on the yoga for flexiblity and strengthing my core. I know that will help my back.

I started the yoga tonight and loved them all...except the TREE! I thought I would fall into the TV screen. Loved it when my trainer said, "You put your foot down didn't you?" Ummmm.....DUH!!!

I want to start the core strengthening workout tomorrow...I have problems with my back also. I really enjoyed the yoga more than I thought I would. Favorite is still the Kung Fun and Boxing...gets that aggression out. :goodvibes

We just got it for Christmas too and so far I really like it. I did get kind of mad when it told me that I was 51 years old. :rotfl2: I did feel better when it told my son that he was 42, and he is 9. :lmao: I am going to start working out on it tomorrow and I'm excited about it.:thumbsup2

I'm 43, and it told me I was 59. DD is so excited. She is 14 and today it finally told her she was 14. She was jumping for joy. Excited for her, but me....I've got some work to do.

Going to Mexico for my 20th anniversary, and I NEED to get into shape.

:rotfl2: My DD, who is 11; got on it for the very first time and it said that she was 11. I was shocked after our scores. She is already fit and works out with her cheer classes so the rest of us wanted to smack her.:rotfl2: She is the last one who needs to get on it, but she loves it.:goodvibes

We got the Wii Fit for Christmas this year and I LOVE it! I wasn't too thrilled when my mii suddenly got fat once I did the body test, but hey, I need that reality check! My goal is to do 30 minutes a day on it. I am coming from virtually no exercise, so even doing that is going to be a good first step.
