My wife is upset with me ..... Chuck E. Cheese related.

I really think as with any chain or franchise business, each CEC should be judged on its own merit.
There is one locally that you couldn't pay me to go back to...EVER! :crowded: :scared: :crazy2: The crowds are atrocious, it is just a madhouse in there, UGH!

Then there's the other local one here...which I was just at with my girls about 4 hours ago, LOL!
The games are all fun, the food is decent (hey, it's not gourmet, LOL), there's no trash laying around, the workers are friendly and except for one little boy in the tunnel (there has to be one in every crowd) the kids in there were very well-behaved and friendly.
I ended up playing air-hockey with the cutest little girl...she must have been about 3 years old...just adorable princess: .

Anyway, I have no qualms about going to this particular CEC (with the exception of weekends ;) ) .

I have to agree here. NO ONE GOES TO CEC FOR THE PIZZA. It is for the kids. They like to climb around in the snot ball pit. There are several people here who do not agree with you, why single out one individual :confused3 Perhaps you should stick to BBQing in you backyard and put in a moonbounce, yes? :confused3

Wow! That was really rude and unnecessary.

To the OP - I totally agree that the food at Chuck E Cheese's is subpar. I avoid it all costs. I actually DO have a moonbounce for my 3 year old....so I guess I do have the best of both worlds..lol. :teeth:

CEC is definately not somewhere I enjoy going. But, I will sometimes meet up with friends and we take the kids there. Its a madhouse in there. The only thing that keeps us mellow at the table is the beer/wine. If I had my choice though, I would never step foot into CEC. Never seen my money fly out of my wallet faster. And in return......crappy plastic toys worth $.03 that cost me mucho $$$$ to get.

When my son asks to go to Chuck E. Cheese, I tell him it is only open on Tuesdays when he is at school. :rotfl: Seriously, I have taken both him and my nephew there on several ocassions, but only when it is a weekday and public school is in session. No way I would go in that place on the weekend. And even my son doesn't like the pizza.

We have a "family sports bar" down the street from us, and we go there when my son is in the mood for games. And we ALL enjoy the food better, not to mention there is beer. :teeth:

Yeah, lousy pizza and you waste money but as long as the kids are having a good time does it really matter if the pizza stinks? Nobody is forcing you to eat the pizza.

By the way I don't always post the opposite of what YOU have to say. I post what I feel is right on ANY thread.

Thank you cantw8 :) :thumbsup2 :) I just don't think some people can take criticism and why are people so self-centered these days???? :confused3 Whatever I guess. :rolleyes1

Aren't we entitled to our opinions here?
:confused3

Sure we are. And, if I had the desire, and energy, which I don't, I could prove my point.

Hey Papa, are you still thinking about going to Branson? Maybe you could compromise with the wife :confused3 This place is better than Chuck up Cheesers.

Actually, you recommended Branson. :) I was headed to Holiday Isalnd. And our plan is to head there for our September getaway if we can. Branson does look like fun, though!

Do they not serve beer at CEC's? Well that would definately do me in.

You just needed to buy a more beer.

Really when my kids were the CEC age I almost never made my poor husband go. Bad enough he had to pay for it. He would rather do the laundry than visit the Rat. Worked for me.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I like to take my neices and nephews there. But we don't eat anything, I just buy lots of tokens and stand around cheering while they play the games, lol. And I always make them spend a token on the picture machine thingie. I think those drawings are the cutest things.

I agree with you. I would be happy if I never stepped foot in a Chuck E. Cheese again as long as I lived.

I guess I am the minority but I like CEC and so does my DS and DH. We always use a coupon and spend less than $30 for a couple of hours of fun. Now we NEVER go on the weekends or evenings, just early mornings during the week. Its always empty and we have a nice time. I also schedule our play group there about once a month and the children play and the gals get a chance to chat. We had our sons 4th birthday at one on a wednesday morning and it was great. I spent the same amount I would spend having it at home and we had no worries, no set up, no cooking, no clean up.
