Just sharing how I saved some $$. Just because I used a coupon doesn't mean I'd Ever do something like that! The kids usually care less about the food/drink anyway, they just want to play games.

I can't stand it either. We have a place here called Bamboola which is so much better...quieter, better food, lots of stuff for the kids to do besides just video games.

Last time I took my nieces to CEC, when I was ordering the cardboard pizza and getting the tokens, the cashier girl said "have fun" I looked right at her and said "the fun part will be when we leave".

The CEC years don't last forever (unless you keep having more children ). My 8 and 10 year old DSs have less interest in going than the OP does!

Our younger nephews were staying with us not long ago, and I thought CEC would be a good outing to get everyone out of the house. I had to drag DSs along. They couldn't believe I was making them to go to "that little kids' place." Of course, I remember when they would have gone there everyday if I would have taken them.

Just get an overpriced plastic cup of beer at CEC and deal with it. You're making great memories for your kids.

Can't get beer at CEC here in NJ. So it actually is pure torture! Trust me...maybe CEC is great family fun in some states. But here in Northern New Jersey it is brutal. And I'm a mom who LOVES my kids...I really do....but this is above and beyond. Both my kids left saying THEY had headaches and they are 8 and 6. Kids were pushing, adults were rude...the music was awfully loud, there were NO seats, 30 plus minute line to get a crummy pizza, the temp felt like 90 plus degrees in there but we were dressed for freezing temps (mid winter in the North East) and not a place to put our winter coats. Look....don't judge us...each CEC might be different! I'll take my kids to WDW and ride IASW 100 times but CEC is officially OVER for us! Sorry folks .

Papa, take it easy!!! My point was that YOU didn't like Chuck E Cheese's which is totally fine BUT it's not ALWAYS about us. (adults) YES, I see your point and agree that Chuck E Cheese's is a lousy place but it's a GREAT place for the kids for the most part. Yeah, lousy pizza and you waste money but as long as the kids are having a good time does it really matter if the pizza stinks? Nobody is forcing you to eat the pizza.

By the way I don't always post the opposite of what YOU have to say. I post what I feel is right on ANY thread.

My kids LOVE CEC! The closest one to me is about 40 minutes away. I went here a few weeks ago and spent $36 for pizza drinks and tokens. The tokens lasted us 3 hrs and there was 3 kids, my mother, and myself. Saved my ticket receipts for next time. the skeeball game has sensors so you can't step on them or they reset themselves and there area lot more games and fun. even Ilove going there cuz I know my kids are fairly safe and they arenot able to leave with anyone else.

Pizza is pretty good too! I want one closer to me!

I have to agree here. NO ONE GOES TO CEC FOR THE PIZZA. It is for the kids. They like to climb around in the snot ball pit. There are several people here who do not agree with you, why single out one individual Perhaps you should stick to BBQing in you backyard and put in a moonbounce, yes?

I wouldnt say CEC is anywhere CLOSE to being a great place for kids. Mine is loud and obnoxious and the kids are so horrible when it comes to behavior. My DD was knocked over by an older child running wild and knocked her head on a game. The other childs parent saw the whole thing and did nothing. Thats only one example of what goes on there. My children dont go to CEC and nor do they want to. Even at their ages (12 and 7) they think its horrible and would much rather go elsewhere for REAL pizza and then maybe go bowling as a family. They have been invited to parties there and have told me they would rather not go because in my DD's words... its gross, loud, and the pizza is nasty.

My son liked CEC for a while when he was quite young but luckily we found other places that he liked better. I see no sense in going to CEC, at least not often, when there are other similar places that are much nicer. JMO.

Besides, Chuckie looks like a rat and I don't like rats.
