My, What an Interesting Carpet Bag~A Dec. 2013 TR!*Remember Me?!*PTR for May 2015 Link, pg 23!*

Loved reading your TR to date.
I find myself agreeing with everything you were saying. Love Disney at Christmas. We stayed at POP for the first time Dec 22-28th. Your window was so cute with the lights and decorations.
Totally regret not trying Earl of Sandwich holiday sandwich. Wanted to try WPE and was disappointed with my pizza.
Can't wait for more updates.

Great update and pics.

The Tangled bathrooms were really nice.

I hate crowds.

OK, I'm already in love with this update from the title alone. PLUS it fits perfectly with your avatar (which is awesome).

AND you're a Spectro lover!!!!!! OK we're definitely friends now. And to think they destroyed all the floats. Gone! They didn't once think to ask if anyone (i.e. me) would take them off their hands.

Ahhh do not underestimate MK on a non party night, a Saturday no less. Insanity rules.

Don't worry, the Peoplemover feet shot is a Must Do.

OMG ME TOOOOOO! Had seen nothing from Frozen (still haven't seen the movie... yet) but the Let It Go segment blew my mind. Exactly the same, everything you described. Unreal.

Don't fret Jen, those Pascals are tough. :goodvibes

Thanks! Elsa is the best! In fact, I think I need to watch Let it Go on Youtube when I'm finished here...:yay:

YAY SPECTRO!!!! :dance3: I miss it so much!:sad::sad: I cannot believe they destroyed those floats! At least I used to have hope of it coming back, but now I can't even think about it! I hope they replace MSEP soon, it's so annoying!

Haha, I knew MK would be crazy that night but it was surprising just how crazy it was! However, it was nothing compared to MK on it's 40th anniversary, that was the worst, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much!

OMG the Let It Go part of Celebrate the Magic was amazing, wasn't it? What a brilliant way to introduce people to Frozen! I still cannot believe how good Let it Go is...it's like the most perfect Disney song ever! You HAVE to see Frozen! I've seen it twice, and I want to see it again in 3D, but there are others who have seen it 5 or 6 times! It's seriously THAT good! (And have you seen Saving Mr. Banks yet? Amazing!!!)

Haha, yeah I was going to cheat and look them up on my phone, but I'd rather wait and look for them in the daylight before I start cheating! :rotfl2:

OMG, that story of the bread pudding from 'Ohana was just magical! I made Howard pause the show he was watching so I could show him the pictures and retell it to him! AMAZING!

And YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY for no migraines this trip! That's so thrilling!

Thanks! Wasn't it wonderful? That's why I want to be a CM SOOOO badly, I want to do little things like that for people that will make their Disney trips so much brighter and more magical! :yay:

I'm so happy I didn't have a migraine for this trip! Let's hope it's the start of migraine free Disney trips for a while! :dance3:

I'm a HUGE Celebrate the Magic fan and I absolutely LOVED the new Frozen part! I agree it made me want to see the movie so bad and I am so hooked on that song. I made sure we saw it 3 times our last trip : )

Wishes and Celebrate the magic make it worth but MK is always so crazy at night.

I love the Tangled bathrooms too! So well done and pretty. My Dad was jealous he thought the ladies side looked better than the mens :rotfl2:

I love Celebrate the Magic too, and the Frozen part is amazing! I hope they keep it in there, and it's not just for the winter or something! I LOVE Let it Go. LOVE. It's just perfect, there are really no words!

Yeah MK after the fireworks is always insane, especially since I always seem to be going the opposite direction of the crowds! :rotfl2:

Haha, that's funny, I actually thought the men's side sounded a little more interesting, from the way my husband described it! I did love all of Rapunzel's paintings everywhere, so pretty!

I whole heartedly agree with you on Elsa and Frozen. Once I saw the movie and heard that song, I became addicted as well! She isn't my favorite royal, but she's surely up there!

I just cannot believe how amazing Let it Go is! I don't think you can hear that song and not be obsessed with it...I listen to it on repeat on the way to work in the morning, it's just so good!

And no one will replace Belle as my favorite princess, she's been my favorite forever, but Elsa is a close second! Although Elsa is a queen, so I guess I can say she's my favorite queen and Belle is my favorite princess! Haha, Disney technicalities! :rotfl2:

Ahhh MK finally! Oh you got to walk through the secret back stage area. I'd totally have my camera out and photographing everything! :)

Ha ha! You have to ride People Mover without anyone opposite you - so you can prop your feet you know. I seem to ride when I'm pretty pooped as well.

Good call with Wishes for your first fireworks show - especially since they added the Frozen part into the production. What a great update! I'm one of probably 10 people on the Dis that has not seen the movie - yet. I know what you mean about the emotional pull of Let It Go for the Celebrate the Magic show. Well done Disney.

Sounds like a great first day! :thumbsup2

It's so cool walking back there! I thought about taking pictures, but there were CM's out, waving at us, so I was nervous they might not like that too much! :rotfl:

The Peoplemover is such a great ride to go on when you're tired, you still get to see Disney World and everything, but you also get to rest for a few minutes! I'd like to stay on for like 45 minutes and take a nap someday, fall asleep to the sounds of Tomorrowland! :cloud9:

OMG you have to go see Frozen, it's SO good!!!! :yay: It was a great idea to put Let it Go in Celebrate the Magic, I'm sure people saw that and ran out to see the movie soon after! If I was in Disney longer, I would have went to see it in DTD, but we just didn't have time!

Oh I'm glad I found this trip report not too far in! Disney World and Christmas are MY favorites, too... so combining the two is just PERFECTION!

How freakin' cool is it that yall were given bread pudding from Ohana when you weren't eating there?! I would've been just as excited as you were! That's so neat! The bread pudding is DELICIOUS! Now I want some.

Girl, I feel the same way... I WANT SPECTRO BACK! :confused3

Yay, welcome! Disney and Christmas are the best, I'm so sad Christmas is over! :sad1: Disney at Christmas is so magical, it's perfect! :goodvibes

I know, I can't believe it! We were definitely lucky that night, it's hard being so close to 'Ohana and knowing you can't have the bread pudding! :rotfl2: It's just so good!

I miss Spectro SO much!!! :sad1::sad1::sad1: The music was just so wonderful and perfectly Disney...MSEP just sounds like carnival music to me! I know people love it, and I admit, the floats are nice, but...I can't deal with the music! :rotfl2:

You sure packed a lot into your first day. I am just exhausted reading about it.

The bread pudding - wow - what a score and for only $6. It looks beautiful. That was some serious pixie dust. And Brandon's sushi looks so good.

What a lovely evening in the MK and your pics turned out great. Can you believe I have still not been in the Tangled bathrooms? I swore I would go in there in October and it never happened. The outside is pretty cool, though. :rotfl: Glad Brandon liked the men's room. :rotfl:

It really is SO painful leaving the MK at night. I have grown to dislike it. There is just no easy way out.

Looking forward to more fun.

Haha, I know, so am I! :rotfl2:

I know, can you believe it was only $6??? I'm sure if it was actually on the menu, it would be like $20...I still can't believe they gave us some!

The Tangled bathrooms are so cool...it's just weird hanging out near bathrooms! I like the inside, but the outside is much better! I wish they had a place for Rapunzel to do a meet and greet over there but I guess that would be gross! :confused3

Yeah I really dislike leaving MK too...I try not to let it bother me, because I hate getting annoyed in Disney but it's always such a pain!

So I have never looked so forward to using a certain bathroom! :)

Haha, I know what you mean, it was so exciting seeing the Tangled bathrooms in person! :rotfl2:

YAAAAY FROZEN!!! Omg, I want to see the Let It Go segment of CTM so badly, but I have a feeling they'll change it out before spring hits... since it's sort of a winter themed movie. Hahah. Drat!

I love your castle pic! It's so colorful and pretty.

YESSS the Tangled bathrooms. So perfect.

Oh no, I hope not! I was thinking maybe they would leave it in because it's just THAT good! :thumbsup2 And Frozen is SO popular maybe it will stay permanently, you never know! Although, they'll probably change it to Olaf and his song about the summer or something!

Thanks!

I'm so glad I finally saw the Tangled bathrooms! I just wish I got to see them during the day! :confused3

Just so you know...I noticed that they were pink socks. :)

Sorry about the crowds, but at least they let you go through the back door.

People Mover is a great start.

Unfortunately, we missed the Celebrate the Magic Show in August and December. I will be sure to see it this year. I've still not seen Frozen or Saving Mr. Banks. Every time we want to go the weather has been awful...as it is again today.

I'm the opposite of you...I prefer taking the Ferry; we avoid the monorail at al costs.

I'd be exhausted too if I was up at 2 a.m. and still going at 11 p.m.

Haha, well that's good! In the light it looked like I wasn't wearing socks so it was kind of a weird picture!

Oh no, no Celebrate the Magic OR Frozen? Or Saving Mr. Banks? You need a day just to go to the movies, every Disney fan has to see both of these movies! :yay: But yeah, the weather isn't being nice to you guys right now...and I'm sure it's headed our way! :sad2:

Well, the ferry is much more efficient, but I just love the monorail because it's the monorail! Not because it's practical or anything! It's always broken and crowded. :confused3

I can't believe I actually made it to almost the end of the party! What an exhausting day!

The picture you got of the castle, with all those different colors, is GORGEOUS! Ahhh! You make me want to go back at Christmas time so bad! If I could really plan around the crowd calendar, I'd do it! I just know that I couldn't handle so many people! Just dealing with F & W that one Saturday on our October trip was enough! I couldn't do that every day!

Thanks! Just don't go the weekend after Thanksgiving and you will be fine! :rotfl: Never doing that again! Although it did slow down Monday and Tuesday, but it still wasn't exactly slow. I guess there are really no slow times in Disney anymore! Yeah F&W on the weekend is crazy too! Stupid crowds.

I NEED to see Frozen! ASAP!

I love, love that picture of the castle with the red firework---gorgeous!

OMG yes you do! It's SO good!

Thank you! :cool1:

We LOVED frozen!!!!! Fab movie!!

Boo for millions of people, but yay for time in MK!! :)

Totally understand being tired and things seeming to go snail slow LoL

Frozen was soooo good wasn't it! I need to see it again, I hope it stays in the theaters a little longer!

I always seem to go to MK when it's ridiculously crowded. It's like I know it will be, but I can't stay away! :confused3

Haha, yeah, that's the way it always is when you're tired! I just wanted to get back to the room and sleep and it took forever!

Ah, now you've got that song in my head! It was a very good movie. Wish I'd made it to the castle show on our trip (I only saw a bit from the Poly and, at that distance, it's just not the same). Love all the colors in your castle picture! The Tangled bathroom area looks so pretty at night! We had to take the ferry once on our trip (monorail was down) and it seemed like it took forever!! Made me glad we don't rent a car and drive to the MK. Ah, I wish I could take a feet-up ride on the Peoplemover right now.

Haha, I constantly have Let it Go in my head! It was so awesome in Celebrate the Magic! It must be nice seeing it from the Poly, even if you can't really see it that well! :rotfl:

I love taking the monorail, but we can never take it back to the TTC at night! We always get stuck with the ferry, and it's annoying! I like having a car, but it's much easier to hop on a bus to MK, but Brandon is like, anti-bus for some reason! :confused3

Me too!!!

I find that even on shorter trips, I try really hard not to focus on the fact that it's short. I try to slow down and just take it all in. I've found that it helps with everything feeling so manic.

Pink socks woo!!! The Peoplemover is the best when it's too crowded. Just a nice respite from the masses.

I am so ready to see the new Frozen segment, which BETTER still be on when I'm there in two weeks. Otherwise, I may go ballistic.

It's really hard to find the hidden Pascals at night. You've definitely got to do it in the day time.

That's a good idea! I can't seem to do that during short trips haha! This trip seemed even more crazy than most, and shorter than most, I've taken 5 day trips before and they never seemed this short. :confused3 I guess because it was so long since I've been there or something!

I love the Peoplemover, it's so nice listening to those Tomorrowland sounds and getting to take a little break! I could stay on it for hours!

OMG I hope it's still there! I'm sure it will be, Frozen is so popular, I can't see them getting rid of it!

Yeah, I kind of figured I'll have to try again during the day! :rotfl: I don't know what I was thinking looking for hidden things at night! :rotfl2:

I'm really enjoying your report and can't wait to read the rest! Great photos, thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

Let It Go...I can't get it out of my head either. I'd heard the Demi Lovato version because Disney Channel played it a dozen times a day lol and thought it was an okay song. After seeing the movie though, wow, it just fits so perfectly and that scene/song made me fall in love with Elsa. I took my DD to the movie because of course she wanted to see it. I didn't expect to LOVE it as much as I did. :goodvibes

I so agree with you about the Main Street Electrical Parade! I hate the music the most. If they could just not play the music, I could deal with it more. In fact, the music is stuck in my head right now! Grrr. I also don't like that Pete's Dragon float. Blah.

Love Frozen, can't wait to have it as part of my collection! I also love the Tangled bathrooms, but Kyle thinks they are just bathrooms and there is no need to hang around them.

I will message you on FB with my comparison on Clearwater vs Cocoa after the trip. I do like Cocoa. Most of the hotels are older but really affordable and right on the beach which is nice. I wouldn't do more than a 3 night stay. I think 2 days would be perfect because that way you get to checkout a sunrise as well and still sneak in a few days of Disney.

Yeah the music is why I dislike MSEP so much. The music in Spectro was SO perfect, it just makes MSEP sound like carnival music. The floats are nice, but the music is painful.

Frozen is amazing! I listen to the soundtrack every morning. Ok, I listen to Let it Go on repeat...it's just so good!

Haha, yeah, they are just bathrooms, but they're TANGLED bathrooms! :rotfl:

Ok! I'm sure I won't be doing a beach trip to FL anytime soon, but I am curious how different the 2 are! I've just seen pictures of Clearwater and I was amazed at how beautiful and perfect it looked...Cocoa never really looked like that to me, but maybe it's nicer in person! :thumbsup2 I can't really say since I haven't been there!

Just found your TR and enjoying it! We were there almost the exact same dates...we just came in a day before! I agree...I knew it would be busy...but the entire time we were there it was way busier than I ever thought it would be.

And like you, we had not seen Frozen before we came. I'm kind of glad...because if we had...I'm guessing my DD would want to stand in that 3 hour line to meet Elsa and Anna!!

Can't wait to read the rest!!

Yay, welcome! It was busy, wasn't it? I knew it would be too, but it kind of surprised me how crazy it was! Everyone loves Disney during Christmas I guess! :cool1:

Haha, honestly, if I saw Frozen before I came to Disney, I'd probably wait in the line for Anna and Elsa too! I'm actually kind of sad that I didn't get to meet them, they are so cute!

MK Saturday nights during party season are NO JOKE. It is overwhelming the amount of people crammed onto Main Street and the immediate surrounding areas!

The Tangled bathrooms are such an amazing little area, and I love seeing the lanterns all lit up at night! What a way to experience it all for the first time! This update made me open up iTunes to start listening to the Tangled soundtrack. :rotfl: This whole house is addicted to the Frozen soundtrack too right now. :thumbsup2 I was walking around work yesterday singing, "Do you wanna build a snowman." Seeing the Frozen portion of Celebrate the Magic would have been really fun!

I can't believe how late y'all stayed out considering how early you had gotten up that morning. :worship: I can understand on a short trip though feeling like you have to maximize every single moment of park time you possibly can!

Yeah I kind of forgot that even more people would be in MK since it wasn't a party night...bad planning I guess, but since it was a short trip, it was really our only option! :confused3

Haha, I've neglected all of my other Disney music for so long now, because of the Frozen soundtrack! I just listen to Let it Go over and over but I love Do you Wanna Build a Snowman too!! The Frozen part of Celebrate the Magic is awesome, maybe you can find it on youtube! It's just so good!

I know, neither can I, considering I have a hard time staying up past 11 at home when I get a normal night's sleep! I guess the Disney excitement kept me going! :rotfl2:

That backstage walkway is pretty cool, especially when you want to avoid the madness of parade crowds.

You took the words out of my mouth with the Frozen segment on Celebrate the Magic. I heard it for the first time watching that show, and just thought, "Wow, that is fantastic." Then began humming it.
A pretty cool preview for the film and a great way to get people to go see the movie. :goodvibes

I can only imagine how tired you had to be by that point. Traveling, visiting Epcot, dinner at the Poly, then touring MK. You definitely weren't wasting your Disney time. :rotfl:

It is, but it just makes me want to work there! I need to move to Florida!

It was pretty brilliant, putting the Frozen part into Celebrate the Magic! :thumbsup2 I mean, they could have used any clip from the film, but the fact that they used Let It Go was perfect, it made me so excited for the movie!

Ugh yeah, we were exhausted by the end of the night, it was insane! I knew I had to pack a lot in that first day though, since we didn't have a lot of time! We can sleep at home! :rotfl2:

Loved reading your TR to date.
I find myself agreeing with everything you were saying. Love Disney at Christmas. We stayed at POP for the first time Dec 22-28th. Your window was so cute with the lights and decorations.
Totally regret not trying Earl of Sandwich holiday sandwich. Wanted to try WPE and was disappointed with my pizza.
Can't wait for more updates.

Thank you! Isn't Disney at Christmas perfect? And you were there for Christmas day, that's amazing!! I'd love to do that someday!

Earl of Sandwich is SOOOO good! It's hard to choose between that and WPE since that's usually really good too but...I think EoS wins! :thumbsup2

Great update and pics.

The Tangled bathrooms were really nice.

I hate crowds.

Thanks! I love the Tangled bathrooms!

Ugh, yeah, me too! :rotfl2:

Count me in!! We were at Disney the week before you and I had that great holiday sandwich from Earl of Sandwich.. I loved it!!! Can't wait to hear more!!

OMG I almost missed your comment, I'm sorry! Welcome, so glad you're here! :cool1: Isn't the holiday sandwich amazing? How was Disney Thanksgiving week, is it as bad as everyone says? :scared1:

I'm really enjoying your report and can't wait to read the rest! Great photos, thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

Let It Go...I can't get it out of my head either. I'd heard the Demi Lovato version because Disney Channel played it a dozen times a day lol and thought it was an okay song. I didn't expect to LOVE it as much as I did. :goodvibes

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

I LOVE Let it Go! I like the Demi Lovato version because I love her, but you have to admit, the movie version is much better! :thumbsup2 I listen to it over and over, I can't stop! Elsa is amazing, I wish she was in the movie more! I love Anna too, but I wish they had equal time! I didn't expect to love it so much either, I actually wasn't all that interested in it before I saw Celebrate the Magic! That totally changed my mind and hooked me!

You're welcome!

Well, I like the Demi Lovato version too, but hearing the song along with the context of the movie just made it click for me. Now it gives me chills no matter which version I hear. I loved Anna better up to that point...how can you resist her when she sings Do You Want to Build a Snowman? LOL she is just too cute. Or when she gets wet and says "cold cold cold" haha.

I also agree about Spectro. I really miss that parade. I loved the music. I even liked the creepy clown guys who rode on top of the balls. :cloud9: MSEP is just meh.

Fellow Spectro girl here! :goodvibes

Great update, the Tangled bathrooms are amazing, huh?

I felt like such an idiot when I realized (WAY TOO LATE) that I booked an ADR... at Epcot.... on a Saturday... during F & W. Worst. DISer. Ever. :sad2:

Yeah for making it to MK!

I'm sad that I'm going to miss the People Mover in February, it's going to be down for renovations. :sad1: I think my brother is even more disappointed than me, he loves that ride and hasn't been to WDW since 2010.

I totally agree that Let it Go is one of the best new Disney songs! Loved the movie too, I hope they still have the Frozen section in Celebrate the Magic next month!

I don't think it's possible to watch Wishes without taking pictures. :rotfl:

The Tangled bathrooms look so pretty at night. I only saw them during the day and they were so crowded it was hard to see everything.

Hi everyone! Aww, my poor little TR was on PAGE 4 of the TR section! I guess that's what happens when you don't update for almost 2 weeks! :faint: Sorry about that, I promise to get caught up on everyone's TR's and do an update here tomorrow and get this thing going again! :thumbsup2 Hope you're all still here!

You're welcome!

I love Anna too, she is adorable! I just really love Elsa, like almost as much as I love Belle, and Belle has been my favorite princess for as long as I can remember!

I miss Spectro SO much! I can't even find the music anywhere to put on my phone, when I want to listen to it, I have to find it on youtube!

Fellow Spectro girl here! :goodvibes

Yay Spectro! I miss it so much! Such perfect music! :thumbsup2

Haha, don't worry, when I go to F&W, we always end up there on a Saturday, even though I KNOW better, and I tell myself we're not going, we do anyway! And then we complain about the crowds the whole time! :rotfl2:

Yeah for making it to MK!

OMG the People Mover is going to be closed? For a long time??? Wow, I'd probably be in a state of depression if it was closed on one of my trips, I love it SO much! :cool1:

Let it Go is PERFECT!!! I hope you get to see the Frozen part of Celebrate the Magic, it is just SO good!!! Elsa is just amazing! :cool1:

Haha, I try so hard not to take pictures during Wishes, I just can't help myself!

Yeah the Tangled bathrooms are really crowded! Maybe go during rope drop and the area will be empty! :rotfl2: It would be kind of a shame to waste rope drop on bathrooms though! :rotfl:

I've never been there at a busy time to see the back walkway, that's so cool!
Love the peoplemover feet pic. Classic.
I'm waiting until I see Frozen (yeah, still havent!) to look up the new celebrate the magic segment. I'm hopefully going to see it this weekend! Something always comes up!
Love the new Tangled rest area, the whole thing is really well done! So much effort for a bathroom!
I can't blame you for wanting sleep!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

I've seen the secret walkway a few times now, I guess I'm always there when it's busy lol! It just seems like whenever I walk into MK at night, the parade is going on, and that's usually when it's open.

WHAT you haven't seen Frozen yet??? You have to go, drop everything and go immediately!!!!

I love the Tangled area, it's so perfect!!!

Haha, yeah, it was a long day!

Having a WILD Time!

Sunday, December 1

Hi guys! I'm sorry it took so long for me to update again, I have no idea how I went so long without being on the DIS! I guess I've been busy? I have no idea lol! But I'm ready to start Day 2!

Sometime during the day before, I added a breakfast reservation for our first official morning in Disney, so my alarm went off bright and early at 6:15. I did not want to get up, I was exhausted still from the day before, but you quickly get over being tired when you realize you're waking up in Disney World!

I took a shower and dried my hair and woke Brandon up...how he can sleep through my hair dryer is beyond me! He of course protested, but I reminded him he's the one who wanted me to add this breakfast so we had to go.

Somehow, we ended up being 10 minutes late to our ADR, which was at 7:50. We arrived at Boma at 8:00 and checked in, and actually got seated right away which was nice! I hate being late for ADR's, I think it's so rude, but for some reason, we were moving in slow motion that morning, and I think Brandon forgot how far AKL is from everything.

Brandon ordered the infamous juice and I got hot tea, which was a mistake. I was so thirsty that morning, and sometimes if you drink something hot, it just makes it worse, so I kept drinking his juice...luckily our server kept coming back and refilling it! :rotfl2:

Here's what I got from the buffet to start with:

Scrambled eggs, sausage, and the bread pudding french toast thing that they have. I miss the goat cheese scrambled eggs they used to have, they were so good! The plain ones I had this morning were awful, they were way too runny or something, I couldn't even eat them. It's weird, I like eggs and omelets and everything, but they need to be almost overcooked or I think they are gross.

Brandon was going to go back up to the buffet to get an omelet, so I asked him to get me one as well. So I just sat at the table, playing with my phone, and I realized he was taking a long time...so long that the server asked if he left lol. I said no, he just went to get an omelet, but I turned around and looked for him and couldn't find him. Then I get a text from him, saying he's in the bathroom, throwing up. :scared1:

What? Apparently, he ate so fast he made himself sick. I didn't even notice when we were at the table, but he said he was so hungry that he inhaled everything and that it made him nauseous. So he was in the bathroom for a really long time! Finally he came back, with 2 omelets, and by then, I wasn't even hungry anymore, so I had like, 2 bites and gave it to him. He finished and we were ready to leave, I was kind of disappointed that morning at Boma. Usually it's one of our favorite places for breakfast, it still is, I love it, but I felt like I was sitting there alone the whole time, which was boring. However, it did show me that no one cares when you're alone in a Disney restaurant lol! No one even looked at me, and trust me, I paid attention! :rotfl:

We left, and before we made our way out of AKL, I had to get a few pictures of the lobby! I love AKL so much, I loved staying there with my sister and my niece last year, it's just so peaceful and relaxing there! And I just love how the lobby smells, the whole resort actually, it smells like a campfire and it's wonderful! I'm pretty sure I'll be staying there on my next trip with Brandon, whenever that will be!

The Christmas tree in the lobby was beautiful!

Not sure if you can tell from the pictures, but the lights on the tree actually match the resort, yellows and oranges...it's just so pretty!

We walked around a little, and then we were ready to go...I was anxious to get to a park!

Of course, we were headed to Animal Kingdom! Not my favorite park, but I do look forward to coming here at least once on every trip! Everest is one of my favorite rides, so I was hoping to do that a few times, and of course, I had to see Festival of the Lion King!

We went in, and I basically was speed walking through the Oasis...I was hoping Brandon wouldn't want to stop and look at all of the animals like he always does, but he did. :confused3 I love the animals, but I felt like we didn't have time!!!

This one, however, was too cute not to stop and look at!

It's like a dog/kangaroo thing...it's adorable! :lovestruc

After looking at the dog/kangaroo for a few minutes, we had to get moving to Asia! I was hoping it was still early enough that we could do Everest a few times and not have to worry about FP's!

The Asia section of AK might be one of my favorite areas in all of Disney World. I know I said I didn't like AK all that much, but I just mean, out of all 4 parks, it's my least favorite. There are things about AK that I just love and Asia is one of them. It's just so pretty and perfectly themed, and it's even more beautiful at night!

We made it to Everest and I think it was only a 10 minute wait, so we hopped in line!

Of course, we had to wait for the front row, like we always do, which adds maybe an extra 5 minutes to your wait, but it's so worth it to get views like this!

It was a little foggy that morning, and super humid, but it ended up being a pretty nice day!

Since the wait time was still only 10 minutes when we got off, we decided to go on again!

YETI!!!

We thought about riding Everest once more, but decided against it, since Brandon wasn't feeling good in Boma, we didn't want to risk anything happening in the parks! We went over to Camp Minnie Mickey instead, to catch the first showing of Festival of the Lion King!

What an amazing show!!! I usually don't have the patience to sit and watch shows in Disney, because I want to be riding rides, but this one is just perfect! It makes me regret not taking dance lessons more seriously! I have no desire to be performer in anyway, but that show makes me wish I could be a dancer in it!

When we got out, I wanted to meet some of the characters that are in the Camp Minnie Mickey area, but all of the lines were too long! I especially wanted to meet Pocahontas, but the line for her was crazy, and she wasn't even out yet!

The Christmas trees in the area were adorable, because they were all themed after certain characters!

I was kind of obsessed with the Minnie tree I guess!

I also really wanted to meet Pluto that morning. I was wearing a Pluto shirt and a Pluto bow, so I wanted to meet him, but I forgot that he wasn't in the Camp Minnie Mickey area, he was all the way across the park near Dinoland. We did not feel like walking that far, so we checked the wait time for the safari and it was 30 minutes. We were going to wait, but the line looked like it would actually take much longer than 30 minutes, so we decided not to. Since I knew Pluto would definitely be in MK, we decided to hop over there!

I had no desire to deal with MK parking, and anyway, we wanted to visit one of our favorite places in Disney anyway, so we parked at the Wilderness Lodge! I always have to visit here on each trip, it's my home resort, the place I love more than anything, and Brandon loves it just as much, it's very special to us. We've only stayed here twice, but we're just obsessed with it.

When we walked in, it was as beautiful as always, and all decorated for Christmas!

(See, I say my next trip will be at AKL, but looking at my Wilderness Lodge pictures makes me want to stay there again! Maybe a split stay?)

We went outside to catch the boat to MK, but first, I had to stop to take a million pictures. I just love this resort so much!

I asked Brandon to take a picture of me in front of my beautiful lodge, but I'm so awkward posing for pictures that out of like, 5, this is the best one...and it's awful lol.

What can I say, I just really hate pictures of myself, and I especially hate when Brandon takes pictures of me, because I can't help myself, I always have to make a stupid face or do something ridiculous. If only you guys could see the pictures that I didn't put here! :rotfl2:

We strolled over to the boat, and what do you know, we had perfect timing for once, the boat was already there, just getting ready to let people on! We grabbed a seat and sat and relaxed as the boat sailed us over to the Magic Kingdom! It's seriously one of my favorite things about the Wilderness Lodge, that you can take a boat to MK. It's just such a nice way to relax on a warm, sunny day in December in Disney World!

Up next...Magic Kingdom! Do I get my picture with Pluto?

Oh My God, I can't believe he got sick!! Kinda funny that he still got the omelets though. :rotfl:

I'm with you on Asia, but then it's the home of my Mountain, so that certainly doesn't hurt. Oh how I love that mountain.

I used to be one that hated watching shows too, so I just never did them. Not I can't get enough. And FotLK is right at the top.

Aren't those Christmas trees cute? I sure hope they find a new home for them next year.

Stop! You look totally cute in your picture and I love your shirt. But I know what you mean about being awkward in pictures. I am so like that. I try to work on it so I look more natural.

Poor Brandon - getting sick at breakfast. That is so not the way to begin the day. But I guess he recovered quickly if he did front line EE!

I love that you visited both AKL and WL on the same day. Two of my favorite resorts.

I hope you find Pluto soon!

Oh wow, sorry about your meal at Boma! Poor Brandon! BUT at least you now know that eating alone at Disney is not even slightly weird!

Ohhhh Animal Kingdom. That wonderful place. I miss FotlK already. :( I clearly need to suck it up.

A split stay at AKL and WL sounds amazing!! These resorts are both so wonderful. AKL has more of an edge for me, but I mean, I obviously haven't stayed at either one. Ooooh, I hope you get to meet Pluto!

Oh, no! Sorry to hear that Brandon got sick! But I'm with Rob... Kinda funny he still got the omelets! ;) what a trooper!

I beg to differ, I think your picture is adorable! :goodvibes

Looking forward to the MK update!
