my week just keeps getting better

Well hubby left yesturday for Iraq, okay, so to keep busy I said sure I'll teach another summer of exchange students. Well my kids came into the airport tonight, two groups a jr high and sr high group. I have the sr high group. Well as the kids were coming through security a young "family" came up and said they were related to one of the jr high boys (not my group, but my company) we tell them he can't go with them the "father" started screaming they were in usa now and the boy was not a prisoner and screaming human rights etc causing a HUGE ruckas. At one point he pushed the bubbleprincess HARD and told her to get out of his way. A nice grandma we had been chatting with while waiting came over and took her out of the middle of the fuss and had someone else go for security. A few minutes later we realized the boy in question was missing. While we were being diverted by the "family" we discovered that some chinese guys (that I had noticed milling around security "waiting") must have snatched him. We have a huge mess on our hands that could cause the ENTIRE group to have to return to China now (the chinese government takes defection pretty seriously). Can the week get any worse???????

Oh I hope everything turns out well. I do know what you mean about the chinese govt. I really cant go into the details but dh had a "consultant" come over from china to collaborate on some govt. thing. The consultant said the man with him was his "assistant" sent by the chinese govt. Well when dh asked him a question which he should have been correctly able to answer by himself if he was an "assistant", he could not answer. DH then knew he was just a babysitter to make sure the "consultant" did not defect. They both went home. He told dh he is pretty much quarantened by the govt. and is only allowed to ride his bike around where he lives. He is too important to them I guess. So sad. I am sure more than just airport security will be looking into this etc. I bet those attached to this on a higher level will look at the security tapes etc.
