My Wedding Cake!!!

I just have to tell you guys about my wedding cake, I am getting married on November 1st this year. And have just booked my wedding cake into the equation, as I am Disney mad ……aren’t we all ? We thought that it would be nice to incorporate our favourite Disney characters into the design of the cake. The first thought was to have a Cinderella’s castle, but my mom decided that this would be to difficult to cut up on the day.

So…………..

We eventually settle on ( I am so excited about this!!) a three tier cake decorated in traditional fashion with Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, Kanga, Roo and Owl all holding wedding presents and looking up at the Bride and Groom on the top of the cake. The bride and Groom figure is Mickey and Minnie made of porcelain, my future parents in law bought this for us in March from Magic Kingdom and kept it as a surprise.

There will be “fireworks” behind the bride and groom these will be made of little sparkley holographic plastic bits.

But the best part is that Stitch from Lilo and Stitch will be there hiding in around the side of the cake, and he has taken a big chunk out of the side of one of the cakes and it will look like he has eaten it! Ha ha!

I can’t wait to get some pictures of it when it’s done and I will post them on here for you all to see how mad I am!

We were thinking about going to Orlando for the wedding, but the only draw back was the amount of people you could have, and not all off my family would travel such a distance.

So we are having a family ceremony in the local parish church and then going on to a hotel for the evening reception.

We went to see our wedding co-ordinator for the evening reception last night and we are now having Disney Character names instead of table numbers! Just to keep in theme with the cake.

We aren't having a fully Disney themed wedding, but it's getting in there somehow I can tell you!
