We were in WDW late Sept. to early Oct. With school, etc. we haven't sat down to watch the video we filmed while there. Last night I finally hook it up, get the family down to watch (esp. looking forward to MNSSHP parade). We're watching, singing "Boo to you" and then we get to our Epcot day. the camera's on, but it's hanging off someone's shoulder, very nicely filming the ground. DH is positive I'm the culprit since I am better about grabbing the cameras. So he starts ribbing me, making fun of me, etc. etc, when all of a sudden what comes into view but two hairy size 11 feet inside his Tevas. :rotfl2:

Vindicated!!

Anybody else do this?

DH is notorious for doing this. It happens at least once on every vacation we take. Our first Disney trip features video of DH's hairy legs for the duration of the IASW ride.

Did this on a trip to AK, subtract the hairy legs... this time it was my fault. And in the background we can hear a couple in line talking about a CM's zipper being down.

DH did this too when we were in Mouse Gears. It's pretty funny seeing everything upside down and swinging.

Is it easy to video in WDW or do you get a lot of hassle from the CM's??? My RFiancee and I are honeymooning in WDW this december and i've treated myself to a camcorder to try and captire as much of it as i can. Will i have to be subversive if i want to video a ride or can i be upfront about my intentions(which i prefer)

For a video you should be fine. We only filmed on a few rides and none of the "dark" ones. You are usually prohibited from using light sources (flash, etc) in the dark shows and rides. Of course, some rides like Space Mountain would be hard to film (not sure why anyone would want to, but some probably have).

We bought our current video camera when we went to WDW in 2002. Makes a great excuse for those types of purchases ;)

Funny story. My kids watched a few days ago a video from their first trip to Disney in 1994 (there were only 2 kids then...well, 3rd was actually in the 'cargo bay' ). DH had the camera and was walking through the park and we have some great shots of the ground, sneakers, people backsides, the sky....you name it!! In 1997, he was carrying the camera again...yep, did it again. My oldest daughter, now 14, says to me "Mom, you let him hold the camera AGAIN?!!" :teeth:

Me too - me too - what an awesome idea!! I'd love the details - my daughter is 6 and asks every day how much longer - this would be so much fun to do with her!!

And Tammy's right - your dd is lovely!
