While I can not say I am completely obsessed with Disney World (yet)...I am completely obsessed with planning this trip:yay:! I have been to Disney twice when I was very young and remember loving Epcot. I do love Disney movies and try to encourage Ryan (DS) to love them as well. I've also been to MANY MANY Disney on Ice shows :)

Favorite Princess: Arial & Rapunzel
Cutest "Prince": Flynn Rider
Favorite Fab 5 Character: Minnie
Favorite Movie: Little Mermaid, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story Trilogy, Peter Pan, Fox and the Hound ...(to name a few.. hahahah)

Joey, Ryan's Dad!!

Joey has been to The World and on Disney Cruises plenty of times but not very recently. He is a great and hard working dad AND he puts up with my random Disney- "Did you know..."- phone calls. He's saving very hard (ME TOO!!!) to be able to bring Ryan and Me and my parents to the World!! He loves Goofy and made fun of me when I cried during Toy Story 3. haha

My Parents aka Toots and Pop- To Ryan

They are being treated to the World by yours truly and Joey! LUCKY DUCKS!!!! We decided we would never be able to take Ryan by ourselves and since my parents have done sooo much for the 3 of us.. we decided to treat them!:wizard: I'm very fond of reminding them that they left me at home to go to Disney with my oldest sisters when I was just born!!! :rotfl2:

AND NOW.. FOR THE STAR OF THE SHOW!!!! .....

RYAN!!!!

HOLY HECK!! If this child isn't a bundle of energy!! He is currently 4 years old and will be turning 5 on the second day of our trip! He goes to PrePre-K (He's born late so he will be there for 2 years) and he plays soccer. He loves CARS and Toy Story but is most in love with .... MARVEL SUPER HEROES (thanks for buying those rights Disney!!! :rotfl2:)
While he is definitely ALL boy- he very much enjoys watching princess movies with his mommy - Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, and Tangled being his favorite and also enjoys the AristoCats, but cries when he watches the Fox and The Hound!! :rotfl:
He knows we are going for his 5th birthday- I CAN NOT KEEP A SECRET!! and is very excited!!

A couple of others may be joining us on this trip, but since they haven't booked yet -LIKE WE HAVE- I am not including them yet!

Hello!! Following you over from the Oct 2012 thread.

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a 5th birthday...at WDW!! How awesome is that!

I cried too during Toy Story 3...I was sad it was all over. Then again, I always cry during Toy Story 2 when Jessie gets left behind.

Cant wait to hear more about your trip planning. Feel free to stop by my PTR if you want to :)

Glad I was not the only person to cry. I mean I cry at many Disney movies but that was like the end of an era to me!!

I'm working on another post right now ...I'm bored and its a little more back story. Hope you enjoy!!

I'm here! :)

While we don’t shove Disney down Ryan’s throat …I know- What’s wrong with us :confused3 ?!?! – he has had a very good dose of Disney in his life thus far. Most recently?- for a year straight almost he insisted on watching Mulan EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!! But besides that, from birth, he has been surrounded by little touches of the Mouse and his friends.

This is Ryan’s nursery, he still has this décor…although soon it will be out the door for BatMan….:guilty:

just a sampling of the murals :)
**All murals were drawn by Toots and painted by me, Toots, and my sisters. I actually went into labor painting these bad boys!

He also has technically had a Disney birthday every year since Marvel is owned (right?!) by Disney now.

4th Birthday
**All of these cake toppers were made by my oldest sister.

He owns a healthy amount of Toy Story and Cars toys as well… and has watched PlayHouse Disney since the day he came home from the hospital. That’s right… Ryan sat in his bouncy chair and watched Mickey Mouse Club House the day he was home (or very soon after), so I guess Joey and I have educated him well enough on Disney matters. (Really though- is enough ever enough?) He really does enjoy all of Disney that he knows so far. This I guess explains why we think it is imperative for him to be there on his 5th birthday. I mean my sister is getting married on the 29th of September and we are flying out two days later because HE NEEDS TO BE THERE FOR THE EXACT DAY!!!!! (in my eyes…my sister thinks not…)
Joey and I, while being young parents, strive to give Ryan a wonderful life, along with my parents, and thus far it has been a success if I do say so myself! But childhood is NOT complete without a trip to THE World. I didn’t want him not to remember it though and while it would have been nice to have him go for free when he was 3 and under we 1. Never really thought about it and 2. Probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it. Even though it’s a financial strain now, I finally got bit by the bug :cloud9: and decided (after a trip to Universal myself) that it was high time Ry-Guy finally met the Mouse, and we are SAVING, SAVING, SAVING to make sure this is the best trip he ever has! Also because he is 4, we have a lot less baby expenses and don’t have to pay real tuition yet…so it’s a win/win!
So we have booked our room at AoA… in one of those “loud” CARS suites!!:rotfl2: 1. Because let’s be honest Ryan will probably think its soooo cool 2. It’s the only value we liked that we can all stay together. And 3. Because my parents are driving we will be able to pick up food and actually utilize the mini-kitchen for breakfast/snacks. Another win/win/WIN!!!!

Thanks for reading!! Hope to update again soon!!

Hello! Hello!! Thanks for following me over!! I'm excited to get started. May post a little something something about my planning process on Sunday or Monday!!

Stay tuned!

 those murals in the nursery!!

I just recently got my youngest kiddos to watch Disney Jr shows. Now they  Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins. I think my youngest officially loves Goofy. He starts laughing every time he is on the screen.

Thanks!! We worked very hard.. there are a couple more but i just posted a few! He's a very lucky boy!!
I find Ryan moving more and more away from the Disney Jr. shows for SuperHeros and Nick JR :confused3 but he still loves Disney movies!!

The Christmas Season for my family is always kicked off by our cousins family Christmas Party- which we went to last night. The reason I'm posting this picture is because in just 9 short months...he's going to have an ice cream that just like that- except even better because it will be shaped like MICKEY!!!! :cool1:

Thank you!!! I may post something tonight!

So I thought to keep me in the Disney spirit I would post our potential ADR’s and CS picks and give little hints as to our potential schedule as well! We do have the DDP so we have 4 TS meals and 4QS meals so here are our plans… let’s keep our fingers crossed that they will all one day be set in stone!!!

Our first day October 1st will probably be two counter service meals, one lunch and one dinner. We hope to be in the Magic Kingdom… so I guess we will just stop whenever we are hungry but I would like to try to hit up Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills. Maybe…I don’t really know… any suggestions? Will AoA have a food court? Maybe we will do lunch there?

Our second day, October 2nd will be Ryan’s 5th birthday!!!! Woohoo!!! So we definitely want to do Table Service at Chef Mickey’s…most likely for dinner. I know he will be 5 but I’m not sure how he will be with characters… I hope he’s ok. I mean this could turn into a complete disaster…
We plan on being in Hollywood Studios during the first half of the day so we can get FP’s for Toy Story Mania for his birthday because I know that’s something he will definitely enjoy doing with his daddy. But anyone have any recommendations for CS there? I know the park isn’t known for its food….

October 3rd and we are aiming for Animal Kingdom in the morning… I refuse to try any other CS then Pizzafari and I am excited to do so. NOONE will change my mind on this!! Pizza and a Ceasar Salad is like heaven for me! :cloud9: Hahaha
Also this day… I have decided to treat myself and make everyone come to Akershus with me for a princess dinner! princess: Ryan likes the princesses anyway so it’s one of those win/wins that I love so much! I don’t really understand the menu… what is dinner service like there? Do we all order our own or is it family style? :confused3

October 4th will hopefully be Epcot in the morning and I’m not doing counter service anywhere else then Sunshine Seasons because I’ve read so many rave reviews and also because there is lots of variety. Some of this meal will have to be paid for OOP because of my parents arriving after lunch our first day. Do you all think this is a good OOP option?
The ADR will be for dinner and it will be 50s Prime Time Cafe.I am getting those s’mores most definitely.

October 5th will be our last day but we are hoping to catch a late flight out and since breakfast is Joey’s favorite meal we are hopefully heading Crystal Palace. I am not a huge fan of Pooh and Friends… but I want our last day to be at MK and Crystal Palace seems the best option for a good breakfast.

Opinions? Advice? :confused3

Your dining plans look good :) Personally, I think I'd go with Cosmic instead of Pecos just because Cosmic has more options. They have the usual, like burgers and hot dogs, but also have rotisserie chicken! Another nice thing, too, is that you can sit on the deck and have a really nice view of the castle. If you eat outside, just watch out for the birds, those things are INSANE. When I was down there with my dad before I moved back to Chicago, we ate at Cosmic on the deck and one bird tried to steal my dad's burger!

Also, for CS at DHS, I normally go with either Backlot Express (I want to say it's to the left of Star Tours, but I might be off) or Rosie's, which is down by TOT. Their CS options are pretty limited.

Yea I liked the look of Cosmic Rays options.. we don't have very sophisticated taste but I want everyone to be able to get something they like, ya know?
