My Trip to Disney Would not be Magical Without............

Hearing the music in future world.

Seeing the castle.

Riding IASW, Peter Pan and Jungle Cruise.

Going to Church at MQUS.

Staying on property.

Relaxing with my family.

Feeling the magic around you, looking at every detail and wondering how the disney imagineers created this. Looking up at the sky with your closest friends and family and watching Wishes and hearing that good ol' Jiminy Cricket. Waiting in line for Space Mountain, every step getting closer to the magic. Having It's a Small World and In the Tiki Tiki Tiki room stuck in your head for weeks after your trip. Getting a hug from tigger, seeing tigger bounce. Riding in the Monorail and hearing the famous words Please stand clear of the doors, the doors that open up to a world of fantasy. Staring at the magic kingdom entrance and going in that tunnel and seeing the Cinderella Castle tower in front of you. A smile on everyone's face.

My trip to Disney World would not be magical without...

1. Spending "kids-at-heart" time with my DH in the parks (since our sons' first trip to the World in 2000, they refuse to go back so it's just been the 2 of us since then :confused3 ).

2. Going to Epcot as our 1st park & riding Spaceship Earth to take in that familiar scent of fire...

3. Making sure there was some extra activity planned for the week that we go down (we've always done MVMCP, but will be trying MNSSHP this time).

4. Walking down Main Street hand in hand.

5. Doing a "power shopping" trip in DTD for one of our days.

6. And from now on, definitely staying ON PROPERTY to continue the magic throughout the entire week.

In no particular order....

1. A WHOLE turkey leg to myself in Frontierland, eaten while playing oversized checkers with my dearest love (soon to be DH) :)

2. the first 'good' view of the castle as I come down Main Street

3. Finding hidden mickeys and the extra special 'details' that make the trip like a great big scavenger hunt (like the 'claw' marks on the wood at Country Bear)

4. Riding Buzz Lightyear OVER AND OVER AND OVER again during EMH's in 2003...it rained so lots of people left...we stayed on the ride for nearly an hour straight competing against each other :)

5. Seeing my dear nieces face when she FIRST sees the Princesses in the flesh next year when she turns 5...I SOOOOO cannot wait to be there for that!

dbf chris, its lovely to have someone you love to share it with you

shopping at dtd

riding the monorail

and eating at crt

I sometimes think we have went too much in the past year. Then, the moment my daughters get that look on their face when they see the parks, especially the sign over the road as you entere WDW. That look right there makes it worth it. I need that every trip. All my favorite memories are in response to the reaction my children have.

To me, I can't wait to see the Magic Kingdom. I love the other parts but the magic is FLOWING at MK. I love the opening show, I love main street, I just love soaking up the ambiance. I can never be in a bad mood while there.

my mum makes it magical for me.couldn't imagine going without her now :sunny:
Plus i know how guilty i would feel if i left her at home and she missed out on all that magic :wizard:

What a fantastic thread. These are the things that matter most and probabley why it's hard to make a "non believer" understand our addiction! Here goes:
1. Dinner at Chef Mickey's the first night of our stay each year. Myself, DW and DS'S are joined by Nonnie and Poppie (grandparents) who drive up from their home in The Villages in FLA. This is our annual "kick-off" to start our Disney vacation.
2. Watching Wishes from our room or beach at the Polynesian
3. Swimming at the Poly during HOT August afternoons. Playing in the pool with a panoramic view of the Lagoon/Castle
4. Haunted Mansion!
5. Walking down Main Street towards the Castle for the first time on each vacation...Goosebumps!
6. Riding on the Monorail with the fam
So many more. I think the responses to this thread have really illuminated that fact that for all of us, it's not just being at Disney, but who we share our experiences with.

what makes it magical ?...

-Six months of planning prior to our trip
-The first call to make our ADR's
-Our first glimpse of Main Street(gets me every time !)
-Peter Pan's Flight (all the rides really, but this one is special)
-Pictures with the characters, no matter how old my girls get !
-Breakfast at the castle
-Waking up and realizing you're in Disney World !
-Walking through POR at 6:30 AM

Can't wait to get there this year, we are so excited !!!!!

party:
