Ever since my family has been going to Disney, we have so many magical moments. It's not a Disney trip without a "Pooh hug" or a Dole Whip sitting next to the Aventure Land bridge...that first sighting of the castle... but the cast members are the key to our very magical moments.

The first year we went after Test Track opened, we made it to EPCOT about 5 pm only to find all the fastpasses were gone and the line was about 2 hours long.

We stopped a cast member to inquire as to why all the fastpasses were gone. How could this be? This is a great new thing, fastpass...! He explained that there were only a certain number of fastpasses available and they run out about 1-2 pm on Test Track.

My son, who was about 6 at the time, just looked like someone shot his puppy...he had been sooo excited to finally ride Test Track, that was all he talked about the entire 6 months before we left. But he proudly held his composure.

Then the castmember said...."Come on, this one is on me." And he put us in the front of the line! I don't know what was more special that night. The ride or the wonderful gesture that cast member gave us. I honestly think he did it because our son showed such dignity, even though you could just see how hard it was not to act openly dissapointed.

Every year...we have had a castmember do something like this for us...that is one of the major reasons why we come back, year after year...after year.

Sitting in the shade in Epcot near Japan (with my Japanese snowcone ) and watching people walk by. I love going with my friends and the freedom that being with a small group of other young adults brings, but it's the looks on the kids' faces as they pass that really make it worthwhile. Even the little ones who are having a "my feet hurt" pout.

My Husband!

Just being with my DH and having all of that time in each others company without either of us having to go off to work... That's the best bit. Not to mention it's all fun time... no dishes, no cooking, no cleaning.

A hug from Mickey. I actually went once in high school (before you could line up and see characters) and spent the entire day without once seeing Mickey Mouse. I don't want to date myself, but this was before AK and MGM, and Epcot was only half opened so he wasn't there, either. I was very, very sad at the end of that day.

Each park offers me a must-do magical moment on each trip. But it ain't Disney magic until I walk down Main Street! The rest has to follow that!

my husband and daughter to share it with me!! No matter what we do or what we have time to see, it's all shared together and is ALWAYS magical!!

My first morning at Disney World, I always have to eat breakfast at the Main Street Bakeshop while watching the happy people wlk by and listening to the music ( I miss the sidewalk tables).
And I love the snocones at the Japanese pavillion at Epcot.

Having my mother there to share it with me. We started going on mother-daughter trips 7 years ago when my father passed away and I wouldn't give up our trips alone togehter for anything! The image of seeing my mother running down Main Street in Magic Kingdom to have her picture taken with the Beast from Beauty & the Beast will be something I'll remember forever!

.....someone to share it with! I can't imagine being there without my family, though I know my girls will not always be going with us as they get older ...and at that point I can't wait to go on a trip with my DH only....I can't imagine going on a trip to WDW without him.

..and Butterfly73...I LOVE your Grover tag..."the Monster at the End of this Book" was one of my favorites as a kid and I have bought it for my own girls!

After our trip last year I don't think I could go back without Floyd.

Besides that I don't think anything could take the magic away! Just 'being' there is magical.

The first step out onto Main Street (ok I will admit it's more like a run, or a jog at least... maybe a SKIP) is the defining magical moment. Also I always have to go see the 'Partners' statue up close. Last time I had to go and touch the castle just to make sure it was real...
