Can someone reassure me please.

this year we booked with Thomson from Glasgow. Turned out thomson don't actually fly from glasgow :confused3 and they use MY Travel planes which is fine but try and get help re special needs etc when you have booked with thomson was hopeless. ended up a nightmare of a journey although to be fair the MY Travel cabin crew were brilliant.

soooooooo for next year we thought we would book direct with Airtours which is MY Travel and pay extra for the premier gold to give us more room with DS. there was 2 flights to choose from early morning or lunchtime and because of DS (takes 2 hrs to get him up and dressed minimum) we decided to go for the lunchtime flight. I have now just read on another site that this plane goes Manchester - Glasgow - Sanford. Our TA phoned Airtours today and the flight is still direct.

Do you think everything will be okay. We can't do anything other than direct because of DS's high level disablilty (can only sit for a set period of time) and okay we would be last on and first off the plane. but if we were last on what about seating. would we be allocated just what was left :( or as we are premier gold would that say not be be a problem.

can anybody give me some reassurance or should I panic now :(

this years flight was just so upsetting I thought I was doing it right for next year.

Hiya

Where did you hear it was a non direct flight? Is it a reliable source?

I am not sure if it will be direct or not, but I would phone My Travel and ask yourself if so you may have to change the flights and argue that you was not told at booking it was not direct. Try not to panic until it is confirmed and then see what you can do to change the booking. Good luck.

found out by chance really on another thread.
we had two choices for that date 09.10 or 12.50 flight but as it takes so long to get DS up we opted for the 12.50. then on the other thread there was a bit how it was cheaper for them to fly from manchester to sanford even though they live in glasgow and the flight touches down at glasgow enroute to sanford and........... it was exactly the same flight no. TA just got back to me and they maintain the flight IS direct so that might mean it def. starts of in Manchester. but my fear now is that all the seats are alloacted in Manchester then where would we end up. :confused3 if it wasn't for our DS I wouldnt be so worried. we booked premier gold seats so wonder if that would help :confused3 then I thought (my mind is now running away with me big time :guilty: ) what if they combine the two glasgow flights and we loose our premier gold seats as that was the main reason we booked.

this year was just so traumatic thought I was doing so well booking early etc.

Ali, I would not worry - they will allocate seats for the whole plane surely, whether you get on at Manchester or Glasgow? I can't imagine they would let people at Manchester bagsy your seats just because they got on first?

where is pat davies she is great for all info like this!
we flew the man-glasgow-sanford flight about 3 years ago. if you have booked premier then that is what you'll get as the whole plane will be on one booking system. so dont think that you will get the left over seats when the manchester lot get on! the flight leaves glasgow and then goes direct to sanford on the way back it goes to glasgow first the on to manchester.
if you are worried at all then give them a ring to reassure you.

thanx Miffy and Nettie.

I suppose it would be worse (for my son) if we had to go to Glasgow - Manchester - Sanford.

glad you went this way and had a good experience makes me feel better.
