My toddler rode the Matterhorn!

Our daughter turned 3 in October and is big for her age, but I don't think we'll make the height for Indiana or Screamin' by next October...

Yea, probably not. :)

I just noticed today that Grizzly's height is only 42"! DS hasn't been measured in ages, so it will be fun to see if he hits that mark! I think he'll love it.

He still refuses to admit that he's tall enough for Space, though he's making noises about wanting to go on Splash. :goodvibes

Oh man, that's the one that I'm not sure I want her on! Lol...please, say a little prayer for me in two days, I'm going to freak out if she can do Grizzly...

Whoo hoo!!!

My 3 year old loves it! Has a terrified look on her face the whole way through- but always gets off and says I love it!!

I think I need a Disney mommy & daddy support group...you want them to try it, but then....yikes!

More, more, more - any of you have 3 year olds who did Space Mountain? Eager to hear the reactions!

Grizzly? Really? Man I love that ride. I'm not eager for DS to get on Space, but if he can ride Grizzly I'll be over the moon. :goodvibes

I haven't done Grizzly myself either, so that's part of the scared mommy problem. It looks so big! I'm glad to hear you enjoy it and are ready for yours to ride it, that makes me feel better!

Shawna, have you looked for a youtube video of Grizzly? Sometimes that helps. You do go up into the heights (great views), but there's series of downs.

The biggest thing about the ending flume is that you're spinning while going down.

And then after, when you think you're safe, there's the geyser that gets about 1/2 of the rafts in various ways.

There's also a geyser while you're still up in the heights.

Use the free, secure lockers (ask the CMs where they are) for anything that can't get wet, and wear ponchos WITH THE HOODS ON. You'll be much happier.

If your daughter hits the mark, of course.

It's funny - one of the earliest memories I have is of being at WDW when I was 3.5 and standing on my mom's feet so I would be "tall enough" to get on Space Mountain!

The rollercoaster gene is in my family, and somehow I married a guy who won't go on them. So I'm indoctrinating Mason at a young age. ;)

What's the Mattherhorn like? It was closed the only time I've ever been to DL. I'm not much of a roller coaster fan but have ridden Thunder Mountain a few times. How does Mattherhorn compare? Would possibly like to try it on trip to DL later this year.

We love Matterhorn ~ DD said after each ride this week, "I didn't see any of the scarey guys!" (the aboniable snow monsters). How fun that his 1st time was also yours! It'll be fun once he reaches 40 inches! DD still has a few more to grow b4 Indiana Jones!

bumbershoot, oh my, thanks for the youtube suggestion on Grizzly. Good idea, or maybe not, lol...I'm not sure I can do it. I know that's a ride for my hubby and DD, I'll make sure to not eat before it.

Matterhorn - LOVE it! My daughter loves it too, but then again, I've taught her that monsters are cool, witches are sweet, and abominable is cuddly (I'm a Halloween fan, so it's necessary to me that we have NO fears of those types of things.)

Hanna Andersson stores sell clogs (comfy ones) that have a couple inches of added height and they're for toddlers too. My girl is tall and can't walk in them, so did us no good, but a nice idea for other families with girls who need the inches. Try them on and you can measure the height right in the store to see...

I think the Matterhorn is way more tame than BTTM. The Matterhorn is a jerky ride though.. But I think BTTM is faster.. Both are very fun though!!
