I was in stitches. I liked the music , I liked the characters, I liked the whole thing. I want to watch it again!
I loved to hear Antonio Banderas making fun of the donkey in Spanish as Shrek and donkey are riding away after they took the potion....but I loved La Vida Loca version.....
My two thumbs up for the movie ( and no more thumbs because I don't have more ).

My DH took our niece and nephew to see this the other day. He said he was crying he was laughing so hard! :teeth: I better get myself to the theatre!! :D

Glad you enjoyed it so much, Olga!! :wave2:

Kim, you will like it. I will definetely buy the DVD when it comes out.:wave2:

We went this morning to see Shrek 2 at a 10:40 AM show and the kids loved it. DW loved it too. I was a little disappointed because I had heard it was so great, so I think anything would have been a disappointment. I hate when my expectations are too high. Anyway, judging from the number of people in the audience, this movie is making a LOT of money. You would think the first show on Memorial Day, after the movie had been out awhile and considering there are shows every half hour, there would not have been many people. It was full. I mean there were hardly any seats in a huge theater. i was surprised.

I was disappointed in it too....it was cute but no where near as funny or good as the first one...but sequals rarely are.

My husband and I also went to see it this weekend. I can't wait until the DVD comes out. I loved it. I thought it was better than the first one although I haven't watched it in a long time.

I can't wait to see it. We just watched Shrek 1 on DVD last night, it cracks me up every time! And also makes me go "EWWWWWW!!!" lol:crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

I went with a group to see Shrek 2. Oh my goodness it was so funny. My fav is Puss in Boots, such a riot. I thought it was better than Shrek 1. Be sure to stay thru the credits for a quick peek at donkey. It was amazing. Won't tell you what happens, but you will luv it.:hyper: :rotfl: :jumping1:

My DH who hates going to the movies and doesn't like kid movies actually LOVED it as did I. OMG Puss in Boots on the horse licking himself :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: And yeah, the catnip was priceless. I thought I'd wet my pants during Pinocchio's rescue scene!

"Oh - don't be such a drama king" - that line was great.

And I love when donkey was annyoing them on their trip to Far, Far Away.

I want to watch it again to see all the names of the stores that were on the Rodeo Drive like street.

But the best is when everyone ran from the Farbucks on one side of the street to the one on the other side of the street. It certainly seems like there is one on every corner round here!!

Donkey: Did I miss?

Shrek: No, Donkey, I think you got 'em. BOTH of them.

:rotfl:

All these quotes are making me laugh all over again! Oh, my jaw was in SUCH pain after seen Shrek 2!

My favorite lines from the first Shrek are between Farquaad and the Gingerbread man (it's an inside joke between a friend and I - we have called her father 'the muffin man' for years, because he looked like the guy from the old Dunkin Donuts "time to make the donuts" commercials -

"Do you know - the muffin man?"
The muffin man? Yes, The one who lives on Drury lane?
"Well...she's married to, the muffin man"
The muffin man?
"THE MUFFIN MAN!!"

well - when shrek asked Gingerbread man in Shrek 2 if the muffin man stilled lived on Drury lane...I started laughing...I was the only fool in the theater laughing...but I loved it!

"Tell a lie!"
Say you wear women's underwear!!

classic! hehe

My kids now do the whole donkey annoying routine - it works - it's annoying! LOL

My friend and I were DYING over the names of the stores, and the villagers running from one Farbucks to another - way too funny! :teeth:
