Well I heard from our insurance company this morning. Come to find out we don't have rental on our insurance so our insurance company isn't giving us a rental car. Well, then I talked to the 18 (yes she is 18) year old that ran the red light, I talked to her insurance company and the lady was very nice (no I wasn't rude), and she told me that she was going to take my statement and the insured's statement and she'd have me in a rental car by this afternoon. Well 3:00 rolls around and she calls back and was like, we are at fault for the accident she fully admits to running the red light, BUT, I can't put you in a rental car until I speak with the others that were involved because we've only got $25,000 to work with, and they're claiming that 4 vehicles were involved, which everybody that was there only saw 3. I think it's ridiculous. The rest of us shouldn't have to suffer. If the party that ran the red light wants their car fixed they shouldn't take away from us, they should have to pay for that out of their own pocket. So now I'm waiting to get the accident report and waiting for the insurance people to get the estimates done on our car, so I can get the body shop to do their own estimate. We looked at the car and took pics of it Sunday, and there's more internal damage than outside damage. So we're thinking that they're going to total our car. I really hope they do, just for the fact that the air bags didn't deploy, what happens if I'm in a more serious accident and I need those airbags and they still don't deploy. The wrecker guy said they should've deployed because it was a front end collision. Who really knows. I have pics of the car, but I'll get to those in just a minute. And we're also looking into a lawyer so if any of you know of a good one, please feel free to share that info with me I would greatly appreciate it. And just continue to pray for us, I have to go back to the ER tomorrow, my knee is swollen and it hurts pretty bad. Now on to the other matter at hand. More about the car accident. She was doing at least 50MPH while running the red light and when I hit her she flipped 3 times that I know of, and then I think Jason said she flipped 2 more times and then landed on her tires in someone's driveway. I'm very thankful to those people that pulled over on the side of the road and got out of their cars and stopped what they were doing to pray for us and the other people that were involved. I honestly think if it wasn't for those prayers said and God watching over us, then someone would've died yesterday or gotten seriously injured. I'm very thankful that we walked away from that accident. It was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! When we went to Wal-Mart yesterday to get the kids their new car seats, we drove by the scene and I was like there's my plate that had the kids names on it, and my husband was like do you want it? I said no, and started to cry. I told him yesterday that I didn't want to EVER go that way again or EVER EVER see that red light again for a LONG time. I honestly didn't want to drive today either or tomorrow. I'm a little freaked out by all of this. I know I sound like a baby, but this was my FIRST accident in my own car and my poor kids were in the car with us. So, I'm a littled freaked.
As some of you know, there's a wedding coming up that we were supposed to go to, and yes we were supposed to drive up there. Well, because of this accident we more than likely won't be going because we don't have a CAR to get us up there. Well, my husband talked to the party that we're supposed to go stay with and they were like just get a rental car and don't spoil the fun. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!! We were just in an accident and HELLO don't have a reliable car and can't AFFORD a rental car and don't have a credit card to get ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry but this really IRRITATED ME to no end.

Well, I called the party and told them about what the insurance people said and they said the same thing to me, and I was like get over yourself, we can't AFFORD a rental car. I didn't ask for this 18 year old to run the red light. OOOOO I'm so MAD right now I could spit fire and nails.

Anyway, enough with that.
Ethan is doing pretty good, he's got a bruise on the inside of his leg from his carseat seat belt. Jeremiah's still a little shaken up about it, but continues to tell everybody that we crashed. Jason's leg is pretty sore. Me, I'm very very sore. My back is still bothering me, my shoulder still hurts a little bit, and now my knee. Driving makes it worse, but I can't just sit around I have things to do I am a mother and my husband works. I think tomorrow I'm going to call a couple rental car compaines to see what they have to say about a rental car and if they bill 3rd party, and IF IF (keep your fingers crossed) they do that, then I will call my husband and let him know and hopefully get a rental car. I only want a rental car because my husband's car is broken, one of his cylinder's is misfiring and literally SUCKING all of our gas. He filled up yesterday and just the little driving we did today which wasn't far, we only had a quarter of a tank. I just don't want to run the risk of A. running out of gas with my kids in the car and B. the car breaking down with my kids in the car. I can't fix it, I can't afford it. It's just been an awful weekend, and I don't see it getting any better. Hopefully it will get better. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day than today.
I'm waiting on the pics to download to photobucket so I can show you our car. Well, I'll post them tomorrow they're taking forever. Have a good night everybody. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers I really appreciate them.
