my son had a car accident about a month ago, clearly his fault he was the only one that got a ticket. a little fender bender. just got a letter from the other person insurance saying i am investigating the above captioned loss and need your version how the loss occured. shouldnt all this be in the police report? is this normal for the other persons insurance want to talk. havent heard anything from his insurance company.

I agree. Was it reported to his insurance company or did he plan to pay out of pocket for the other person's damages?

Give your statement only to your own insurance adjuster and refer the other company to your adjuster.

Someone rear-ended DH's car back in 2005. We turned everything over to our insurance, even though the other party was at fault. The other guy's insurance wouldn't pay until our insurance rep interviewed the owner of the other vehicle.
