My son showed up a couple hours ago with three friends and four bags of groceries, and were looking to BBQ. They had brought burgers, strip steaks, chips and salsa, all the makings of a feast for four guys age 18-21.

And for me for being a good sport and letting them take over my lanai, they brought me a filet mignon! For that I cooked everything, got the table all set up for them, etc...

When they were done eating they even cleaned up!

I like these kids! :thumbsup2

I hope when my son is older that he does stuff like that. I like when he has friends over and they do "grown-up" things together.

They sure knew how to bribe me. :teeth: They cleaned everything up, and are now playing video games in DS's room. These kids have been here before and are very polite and quiet. The kind you always want to have feel welcomed in your home.

This is the sort of things my sons do at 18. I love watching them with their friends having a good time, being sort of grown up young men. It's also nice when they bring a girl over and make her dinner.

You have a wonderful son and he had a great group of friends. i only hope my son turns out just like that!!!! :)

Jeez Anne I'd buy you a filet just to see your house ;) That is cool that your son and his friends did that. :goodvibes

Sounds like a fun time at your house this evening. Enjoy that Filet. :thumbsup2

Sounds to me like you've raised a good one! It's times like these when you know your work has paid off... :goodvibes

You did good Mom. I hope mine do the same. :sunny:

Anne! Why weren't we invited? :rotfl2: Sounds like a great time!

I just went searching for our tortilla chips and DH informed me he polished them off today... pirate: Doggon pirate. At least you got a steak out of it. Boy, do those boys know how to bribe a mom, or what? :confused3

Sounds like a great way to spend the day!
I love it when my DS (19) brings his friends over for stuff like that!

:) Awww, that made me smile.

Does your son normally like to cook? Mine does. I hope he ends up doing things like that when he becomes human again -- yes, I do hold out a lot of hope for that. :teeth:

If it involved the grill or microwave, he "cooks". The stove and oven are as foreign to him as the Great Wall of China. :rotfl: :rotfl:
