DS7 lost a tooth at school today. Just now the tooth fairy collected the tooth and left a toonie. The tooth came with a note. It said "my 4th tooth. Can you give me $100?".

The tooth fairy left behind a $100 bill.... Monopoly bill. :rotfl:

Gotta love kids! :goodvibes

If they change to ask for a REAL $100 bill next time, type them up an invoice that they owe the tooth fairy $100 for tooth pick up and disposal :lmao:

pixiedust:Wow...I got four quarters glued to a flash card. I considered myself lucky if it was sprinkled with glitter pixiedust:

Funny!

I also like the following poster's comment about leaving an invoice for $100!!!!

What's a "toonie"?

When my DD was little, the Tooth Fairy would typically bring her a DVD or a Spinbrush or something like that.

Toonie is a Canadian $2 coin. They have loonies and toonies ($1 and $2 coins). There is a dollar bill, but it's hardly ever used.

Sounds like you have one smart kid. He has a future in sales, he's not afraid to go for the close.

I wish we had Loonies and Toonies here in the US- sounds like so much more fun than a dollar bill or two. Your son cracks me up! Might as well shoot for the moon, right? What a smart young man!

When my daughter lost her first tooth, I was so excited I left her a $5 and a Littlest Pet Shop ... it was a big deal to me.

Until she pulled out the second tooth the next day, and was upset that the tooth fairy "only" left her $1. I mean, she's my first ... how was I supposed to know she'd lose two back to back and then start to question if the tooth fairy was even real.

:rotfl:

I went to the back and got a bunch of dollar coins. That was the money from the tooth fairy.
I also checked with the kids dentist to see how many baby teeth they had left after each appointment so I'd know how many coins to have on hand. LOL

We are done now. My DD lost her last baby tooth last year. :woohoo:

This reminds me of when my dd's first tooth was loose (she is now 18) and we were with my bil, who does not have kids.
He told me dd quite a few times that the tooth fairy brings $50 for your first tooth. Being she was our first, she got the $50 ;)

:rotfl:! My daughter always asks the Tooth Fairy for different amounts, and justifies it by describing the pain and suffering she went through loosing the tooth in a detailed letter.

The Tooth Fairy can't wait until she can show those letters to her future grandchildren ;).

That's a good idea. The Tooth Fairy could have a lot of fun with that! :rotfl:

DS is a saver. He has plans to be rich. He still tells me that it's my fault he's not rich yet, and that he is never spending his own money at WDW again (even though he asks to go back). It doesn't matter how many times I explain that Daddy & I paid for the airfare, the resort, the food & snacks & drinks, and park tickets - HE can purchase his own souveniors.

On the other hand, DS is a generous kid and often tells me when he's 20 he is going to bring us to WDW. But wants to know if we can drive because he does not know how to get to the airport. :goodvibes

Ohhh :scared1: Poor kid! (and you) I never heard of a child loosing teeth back-to-back either.

DD got $20 for her first tooth. I can't recall about DS though.

Awww, that's cute! :goodvibes

What does the Tooth Fairy say in reply?

It was always a fun adventure telling kids if they lose their tooth at Disney, then Tinkerbell brings Disney Dollars. Then I have parent's staring at me with wide eyes of "what am I going to do? what the heck are Disney dollars?"

As my DD got older, she told me she didn't believe in the Tooth Fairy. Soon after, she lost another tooth. When she woke up, she complained that there wasn't $1 under her pillow. I reminded her that she didn't believe in the Tooth Fairy anymore, so there would be no more money under the pillow. She hugged me and said, I Believe! Oh, I Believe! Next morning, there was $1 under her pillow. :)

On the cruise if you tell the room steward or guest services that your child lost their tooth they'll sprinkle the pillow wit pixie dust and leave a certificate when they turn down the room

At our YMCA adventure guide campouts we always have a major bonfire the last night. The kids who have done something special are awarded eagle feathers. It is a big deal to get an eagle feather. One path to an eagle feather is to lose a tooth on the campout. Some kids nurse a loose tooth for weeks, just to lose it on the campout.

The leader at the bonfire begins this portion of the ceremony by waxing on about how well he knows the tooth fairy. It turns out that he knows her so well that he just calls her "Tooth". Then he calls all the children who have lost teeth up in front of the entire camp to award the eagle feather. At the end of the presentation, he loudly proclaims that Tooth is so impressed with this group, that Tooth will give each child a crisp new $100 bill.

The look of joy in those young 6-year old faces is only matched by the sheer panic and subsequent scrambling by their fathers...particular the first campers. To my knowledge, no child has left the campout disappointed in Tooth. But! a few dads have had to borrow gas money from their child for the trip home.
