You can still get pneumonia after the vaccine, which helps prevent and/or lessen the impact of pneumococcal pneumonia.

True, and I think several types of Pneumonia exist -- but I'll take whatever help I can get.
For the record -- and, no, one person's experience does not a pattern make -- I had Pneumonia several years in a row, always at the same time. My doc believes it was an allergy that led to a fall cold, that led to Bronchitis, that led to Pneumonia. Anyway, it was miserable.
Since I began an allergy pill September - February AND had the shot, I haven't had Pneumonia since.

What kind of side effects have people had from the shingles vaccine? I had my first one a few weeks ago and later that week I felt pretty sick. I thought it was a migraine but the pain was different.

I had NO side effects from the Shingles vaxx -- never even thought about it.
I doubt this is at all related, but I had a moderate, short-term reaction to the Covid vaxx.
