Well Im upset because JLKennedy is the one who's being paranoid about it and saying its not safe and filling peoples heads its not safe. Pretty soon, word is gonna get around its not safe and then the thread will become dead and people will stop posting on it. I dont want that to happen. To many people LOVE the fact that I do this for them, so they can see who will be dining where and if they might be dining with others. If it wasnt safe I would have never started that thread and believe me, I think the MODs would have closed it before it even got started. I have been doing this list since 2006. That thread you all see now is a new one and its been open since July 2007. The other one was to messy and unorganized, so I quit that one and started another one and this time its MUCH more organized.
They can not cancel an ADR without some proof. Weither it be a conformation #, CC #, or phone number. Theres to many people who might have the same first and last name and Disney wont cancel an ADR unless they know for sure its the right ADR. Theres more of a chance for them to cancel your ADR if they hear the wrong conformation number or accidently cancel then someone to get all the info they need from the list and cancel it.
That happened to me one time. I was canceling an ADR and I gave them the conformation # and they got the number wrong and they pulled up an ADR for Spoodles and they almost cancelled it. As soon as I heard spoodles, I was like, um no, that should be for.....(cant remember what the ADR was for) and I repeated the number to her and she was like ohhh im sorry I had the last number wrong. Finally it all got straightend out and when she was like oops I almost cancelled the wrong reservation. And I laughed and said, dont want that happen! That would be awful if they cancelled theirs and not mine and they get there and find out their ADR had been cancelled. So see things like that are the reasons why ADRs all of a sudden go missing and get cancelled. Because of CMs who type in the wrong info and cancel it.
Really, relax, take a xanax or something. I'm not accusing your thread in particular to be why "adr's are miraculously cancelled". I'm simply stating, that depending on what people have in their profiles, and then posting information such as date, time and party size, a simple phone call could be made.
LAST TIME: I HAD NO CONFIRMATION NUMBER TO CANCEL 2 ADR'S FOR SOMEONE NOT IN MY PARTY. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT TELEPHONE NUMBER I CALLED FROM TO ORIGINALLY MAKE THE ADR
I USED A CREDIT CARD FOR THEIR NEW ADR, NOT THE ONE BEING CANCELLED THE CM TOLD ME SHE COULD LOOK ME UP BY LAST NAME, DATE AND TIME
Nothing more, nothing less. Is it likely to happen because someone posted on YOUR thread? NO.
Is it possible? ABSOLUTELY.
