For the lunch at MGM I would try the Sci Fi. Your 8 year old will love it.

I like the Lunch at Brown Derby, my kids liked it, and the Cobb Salad is great!

I will make that suggestion for MGM.
Also,
Prime Time and Sci-Fi are big kid hits as well!!

For lunch at MGM I would suggest Sci-FI. I think your 8 year old will love it. For lunch at Epcot I would suggest either Restaurant Marrakesh (your 8 year old will get a kick out of the belly dancer) or Rose and Crown (nice patio tables on the lagoon). Have fun.

I too like the SCI-FI, but wanted to let the poster know that it will be closed during her stay. It will be closed from Sept 6- Oct 13.

The 50's Prime is my second favorite at MGM and your 8 yrs old will like it!

Sci-Fi will only be closed Sept 6 - Sept 13 (not October). I had reservations for Sept 11. I changed to Sept 15th without a problem.

My husband & I will be returning together for the first time since I was a Cast Member in Resorts Human Resources 1989. This will be our first time staying on property and can't wait. :cool1: I took his niece last year in the parks for 2 days - which was the first time I had been back since I worked there - she is 10 and it blew my mind that she would hardly ride anything for being scared. :confused3 It was a huge waste of $$ - I was bummed - I don't ever remember anyone say their child hated DW - I was looking forward to riding a lot of things that I had not rode since I worked there....but that was OK - this September hubby & I will have a :Pinkbounc

Hope this helps.
