I just can't believe it. It truly seems like yesterday I started freshman year. I'm not ready for high school to be over, or for the college applications to begin:eek:
I'm sort of looking forward to going back. I can't wait to start spending my Friday nights at the football games again (though I'll have to give up Friday night DISing for Friday night football), and I want to be back with my friends. And every school year revolves around the seniors. But I just can't get it out of my head that everything I do this year will be the last. The last yearbook picture, the last first newspaper published of the year, etc. Most of my friends graduated last year, so I think that's only adding to all of this.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Have a great year and enjoy it! It really does go by very fast. Also, don't let "senioritis" set in too soon :teeth: ! Good luck with your college apps, too.

ditto on the senioritis! ;)

college apps can be a rough time...the waiting too! just remember - they DO look at your final grades! :)

enjoy "ruling the school"!

Heather, enjoy all that happens this year because senior year goes by so fast and the day will come when you'll want to sit back and remember. Have fun!!:sunny:

Have fun doing your senior year. It the best time in your life.

Don't be like our class make the juniors hate because we put them uniforms the next year because we so bad.

LOL. The juniors already hate us. They don't understand our ummm enthusiasm and spirit at the games and pep rallies and assemblies. Let's just say it's gonna be a quiet school without the Class of 2005.

Most of my friends were a year ahead of me too, so my senior year was a little bittersweet. :) Have a great year! I still miss High School, as weird as that may sound, and I graduated over 7 years ago! :earseek:

naw - that's COLLEGE! ;)

I feel for you, I just finished my senior year-of college! I remember it very well though, it was definitely a year of lasts for me. I had cheered for 12 years and I knew that was my last year (injuries prevented me from having the skills needed to even tryout for my college). It was hard since that was so ingrained in my identity, but since then I've learned that no matter what I'll always BE a cheerleader, or be a yearbook staffer (I'm into photography and scrapbooking now), etc. etc. So while it's all ending, those things are always a part of you. Your year will be the biggest and best senior year you've ever seen, way better than the ones before you (in your mind anyway) and you'll be able to put into practice things you learned from those seniors before you. Enjoy every moment, but know that it's as much a beginning as an end.

Also, something I like to keep in mind regarding my friends from "home" that I'd known forever (small town): No matter what, these people know things about you that no matter what, your future friends can't know. They were there for all your ups and downs of growing up and whenever you feel like nobody understands, these are the people you can go back to because they were there and they get it.

Hope that helps! I've realized that I'm going to get to live it all over again when I start my career, since I'll be working in schools, so I think it will be fun to see it from the other side and help students with those experiences that I had.

Senior year is a great year, Heather, lots of, lots of work too. Enjoy, congratulations!!

Best wishes on your senior year..make the most of it....and dont succomb to senioritis!
