My secret obsession...antenna balls!

I bought a piece of wood that would normally be a shelf. It is a foot wide and three feet long. I drilled holes in it in rows leaving just enough space to fit antenna toppers side by side. I bought small dowl rods and cut them in varying lengths. I painted it all and stuck the toppers on the rods in the holes. It made a lovely sculpture!

Question Everyone:

How do you display yours in your home!?? I hate having them all thrown together in a vase.

I read the poster who told about her wreath but I need something bigger than that.

I actually like having mine all together. I have a big jar with a silver lid and have them all inside on a shelf in my scrapbook room. I think it looks cute!

The only one that's not in there is my Eeyore one, which is on the top of a pen on my desk.

I was so tickled to read this thread! DH just got a new (used) car, and the first thing I looked for was if it had an antenna. I remember reading somewhere (Mousesavers? Allears?) that AKL gift shop has a set of toppers with animal skin patterns. Now I have a reason to buy them in Dec!

I love antenna toppers!!!! The day we bought our Excursion I quickly took the Pirate topper I had on the van and put it on the Excursion. When we pulled into the garage the antenna brushed the bottom of the opened garage door and the pirate went flinging across the garage. So I now have pushed a hole all the way through my toppers and slide them about half way down the antenna and no more flinging!!!!

We did have the zebra striped one on until Oct when we put our devilish Stitch on. I have the 50th celebration Mickey head but will probably save that and not put it on the car. DH has a soccer ball Mickey head.

LOL! That's exactly what I do with mine. I drive an Explorer and I kept flinging them off every time I pulled into the garage. With a little 'minor surgery' (a phillips head screw driver works well), the topper can be slipped down the antenna. Mine gets thicker about half way down, which is the perfect place for the topper to sit. Right now, I have the pink Mickey topper. (I also have a Princess air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror, one of those Mickey dangle things for the window, and a front license plate with WDW on it!) No doubt that the truck belongs to a Disney girl!

I bought those at Animal Kingdom! There are three of them: a zebra print, a tiger print, and a giraffe print. They're packaged together for $10.

Have you seen the shirts with the 4 antenna balls on them? They have it on the Disney shopping website under the Disney logo area. The shirt has a Mickey ball, Donald ball, Goofy ball and Pluto ball. It is a very cute shirt. I plan to order a long sleeve one for our trip in Dec.

TDS is getting better with antennae toppers. We've had a purple Mickey with spider legs, a Frankenstein Mickey complete with stitches and neck bolts, the gingerbread cookie Mickey (mentioned by a previous poster), a snowman head Mickey..... Plus we have a bunch of glittery colors. There's a Jack Skellington for Halloween and a new Stitch one complete with party hat and noisemaker for New Years.

I would love to have the Mickey with spider legs and the Frankenstein Mickey. Those sound so cute. I love anything Halloween & Christmas. I guess I'll have to do a search on ebay to see if anyone has one for sale since we don't have a TDS in our area.

I have quite a few (not 125, but a lot) of toppers. I have bought most for myself, but a very nice Diser sent me a few also. I drive a baby blue New Beetle, and they look very cute on it. Right now I have the camo mickey in honor of my son-in-law who is serving in Kuwait. It will stay on until he returns next fall. I hope no one steals it, because I have been unable to find another camo one for it's replacement. I am going to get dowels and put seasonal toppers on my bud vase on my dash. I saw that in a pic of someones sig here on the Dis, and thought it was a very cute idea.

I love my toppers and everyone knows it's my car when they see it. It's the only Vapor Beetle in town and it always has a Mickey antennae topper.
