A few weeks ago everyone was sharing their scrap space and inspired me to do the same! I got a ton of ideas on how to organize and thought maybe I could help others too.
My space is in our master bedroom. When I am not scrapping, it usually looks like this (except usually the bed skirt is all down!):
I say "usually" because well, sometimes I am so into my scrapping that putting everything away may kill my creativity. That and, well, sometimes I am just plain lazy.
But mid scrap....the room looks like a scrapbooking store threw up in it:
And actually, this picture isn't so bad. Usually there is alot more paper all over the floor but I was cutting on the cricut at the time I snapped this photo so I wasn't flying through lots of paper yet.
My scrap table is actually a sewing table from Walmart. I love it because it keeps me organized (for the most part):
Here's is the side on the right:
I keep my cricut cartridges in the three boxes; my paper collection is next to them. The tops shelf holds my glittering sheets, glue mats, cutters. The second shelf has folders full of scraps. That's the first place I grab from when scrapping.
Here's the left side:
This is where I keep scissors, markers, glues, ribbon spools, stamp pads, and some brads. The joanns bag is my trash/recycle bag.
I've definitely outgrown the storage provided in the table so now I store some things under the bed. Usually the bed skirt hides it all when I'm not scrapping:
The green box on the right holds my Cuttlebug folders, the pinkish box in the middle has my crazy collection of glitter and flock as well as my extra glitter glues. The clear box on the left holds more paper.
And even more in my closet:
My cuttlebug is here, and the 2 wide boxes on the bottom hold my trip memorabilia to scrap. The binder is where my stickers are stored (great idea I read about here on the boards....each page protector has a different theme). The photobox has more ribbon in it.
So there you have it...my mostly-organized scrap space. The best part about it for me is that when I'm finished scrapping and I actually do clean it all up, it takes no more than 5 minutes since everything has a home.
My husband always cracks me up when he comes up to bed and sees I am scrapping. He comments how messy it is, goes to brush his teeth and by the time he is back in our room I'm always just tucking the last few items I was using away for the night.
(Also, editing for one note.....my scrap table used to be centered on that wall in between the windows. We had a double bed then. We upgraded to a king this past summer so I had to move my table to the right so I could stop bruising my leg when getting to my side. So, sorry if it drives you crazy to see everything off center...aka it drives me crazy... but I LOVE my king bed!)
