This is a counter service restaurant in the Animal Kingdom, on the way to Africa. It might just be the most colorful restaurant I've ever seen!

Laura ~

Thanx for more great pix!!!!!

I love Pizzafari, and I'm pretty sure it's my very favorite counter service restaurant in all of WDW. It's colorful, cool and the food is even pretty good.:D

We went at an off time..virtually the only ones in there and struck up a conversation with a new CM. He was very eager to guide us through the paintings and play hot/cold to find some hidden mickeys and also some "flaws" in the murals. In the photo above with the possums hanging..go all the way back in that room and there are more possums hanging..but one does not have a tail!! he just sort of hovers there! There is a hidden mickey in the leopard spots on the room to the right when you pass the order counter. There is a story about who painted all the turtles and something that has rabbit ears that are on the ceiling. Have fun.

Great pics! I know my kids are going to love eating here--we're trying it when we go in February!

How do you get such amazing photos anyway? I'm not a bad photographer, but all your pictures are just outstanding!

Pizzafari was without question the most pleasant surprise resturaunt I've ever encountered at WDW. It's gotten a lot of bad press, but it was the right place at the right time (sudden rain and I was starving). I ate there not expecting to like it. Now it's a "must-do" when I'm in AK.

I don't know why but we haven't tried Pizzafari yet . Thanks for the pictures and hopefully we'll make it to Pizzafari next trip.

We love eating at Pizzafari...it is soooo colorful!

Did you know that every room at Pizzafari has a different theme? There is the nocturnal animals room, the upside down room (the last picture in the original post), the camouflage room (animals that blend in with their surroundings), and the animals-that-carry-their-homes-with-them room, among others. There are others, I think, but I cannot remember them.

Thanks for the wonderful compliments. :) I used two different digital cameras. My old camera was a 1 MP Kodak and my new camera is a Kodak DX3900, 3.1 MP digital. I notice a big difference in quality between the two.

But great pictures don't always jump off the camera; just as important is a good photo-editing software program. I edit all of my pictures; cropping, resizing, sharpening, even removing unwanted elements. I believe that Adobe makes the best photo-editing software, but PhotoShop is fairly complicated. I use PhotoDeluxe, which uses some of the elements from PhotoShop. Sadly, it's being discontinued. Adobe has another product, PhotoShop Elements which is also less involved and easier to use than PhotoShop. I'm not affiliated with Adobe in any way, I just like their products. And as much as I use PhotoDeluxe, I learn something new everytime I use it. It's really amazing what you can do with your photos.
