 I am so excited right now!! My local Publix now carries Fluff! Granted, they had it in the baked goods aisle, so I'm fairly certain that they have no idea what it really is, but who cares! They are selling it, and they had a good stock of it too :cheer2: I bought some and ate a spoonful straight from the container when I got home. I thought that I was going to have to have my sister bring me some when she visited. Now all we need is a Trader Joe's and I'll be all set, LOL!

Okay, so what's Fluff?

Marshmallow Fluff...it's like a whipped marshmallow cream that comes in a big white tub. You use it to make Fluffernutter sandwiches (like PB+J, but with Fluff instead of jelly) and in hot chocolate. It was a pantry staple where I grew up, but apparently it is just finding it's way into other parts of the country.

I have never heard of it but darn it sounds good.

Mmmmmmm.....I have some in my pantry right now. I think it is calling my name...

It really erks me that not alot of people have heard of fluff! I lived on the stuff growing up!

I just bought a 3-pack at BJs...I love Fluffernutters!

LOL! Maybe you just noticed it. The stores in the SE FL area where we lived had it for years. :teeth:

There are people who have never had fluff?! :faint: What is this world coming to?

Okay. I know what marshmallow fluff is. I didn't realize it couldn't be found in some places. Cool that you have it now!

I cannot stand fluff---so you can have all mine!
:teeth:

Maybe when the moved---they just put it in the wrong place..b/c I swear that I saw it by the PB&J in the old store.

:thumbsup2 I was going to say my mom added it to PB but then I thought maybe that was a bit odd. My mom had a tendency to make up odd sandwiches when growing up, so I'm never quite sure what is considered 'weird' and what is normal for that.

Yummy! More Fluff for me :rotfl:

I never saw it in the old store. I actually bought gross marshmallow creme one time because I was desperate for a Fluffernutter. It wasn't even close to being the same. I'm relieved to have the real thing back in my grocery cart :Pinkbounc

Fluff was a staple for me growing up. Although I never settled for a PB and Fluff sandwich. I had the tripple-decker - PB&J and Fluff :thumbsup2
Have you ever tried Strawberry fluff? I found it a few times at Stop and Shop in Mass. It's not as good as the original, but it's not bad as an alternative. :cloud9:

Publix stores in upstate SC have had it for a while. I can't remember what aisle it is on, but it is on the bottom shelf, so you had to look for it.

:confused3 It's been in the baking goods aisle in every store I've gone to - right by the marshmallows. (Which, BTW, includes Jersey, Virginia, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Washington.) It's used to make fudge and other baked goods.

It's always been in the Publix stores here - usually on the end of an aisle by all of the ice cream toppings.

Is it a New England thing?? One of my brothers lives in New Mexico where he can't find it, so even at 60+ years of age, our parents still send him a couple of jars for Christmas! :)

Fluffernutter sandwiches were a staple for us growing up. I ate them mon - thurs., and since I went to parochial school, we had tuna fish on friday. Even now I still crave fluffernutters...

And speaking of odd sandwiches...in the 60's it was perfectly acceptable around here for your Mom to make a sandwich with white Wonder bread (the kind you could roll up into little balls), butter and sugar. No lie. I still can't believe our Mom gave us that! :crazy2:

Jill....who just had cinnamon sugar on toast - is that a regional thing too??

That reminds me - I love sugar toast. Just butter bread and sprinkle with sugar then put in broiler for approximately 2 minutes. Delish!! :goodvibes
