My trip planning obsession!!! You know us Disney fans...If we're not at Disney, we have to be planning another trip!!!!

Tentative Dates: Wed. Sept 27th- Mon. Oct 2nd 2006

Who: Me, Disney addict (26) For right now, I may be going solo or be accompanied by family or friends. Never gone single before, but am intrigued by setting my own pace.

Having just discovered the DISboards not to long ago and never posted the beginning stages of a trip report, I've decided to do so. Keep in mind, I'm still working on our trip report for our December 3-10 trip. I procrastinate like no one else.

Moment I got home from WDW, I knew that I wanted to go back. So I started looking into maybe going for the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot. I wanted to stay at Disney for the first time so I started looking at the best way to do that on a budget. Dont care for the value resorts so I looked at the moderates. Love the look of POFQ, POR and CSR especially. As soon as I have enough for the first night deposit, I plan on calling CRO to obtain the AAA rate at hopefully the POFQ.

Schedule

Wed., Sept 27th: Work the AM shift at my Marriott then take a later flight to MCO. Arrive and check in at a Marriott close to the airport. (No use in paying for a night at Disney if arrive late)

Thurs., Sept 28th: Check out of the Marriott and go back to airport to rent car from Budget (have a discount rate with Costco membership). Drive to Disney Resort and see if room is ready. If not, go shopping at Downtown Disney. If room is ready, swim and rest until ADR at Boma's for dinner.

Fri., Sept 29th: Be at AK before park is open to line to ride Everest! Explore Maharajah Jungle Trek before heading to Camp Minnie-Mickey for character greetings. Park hop to Epcot for F&W Festival for rest of day.

Sat. Sept 30th: Historically Sat is the morning EMH for MGM so arrive there before 8 am. Must see attractions: RnR, ToT, Muppetvision, Voyage of LM, WWTBAM, Animation, One Man's Dream and Lights Motor Action! Lunch at either Brown Derby or Primetime. Take a break in the middle of afternoon and head back in the evening for Fantasmic!

Sun. Oct 1st: Rest during day and get in some shopping at DD. At 4pm, head over to MK for MNSSHP!!!!

Mon. Oct 2nd: Fly home :guilty:

Of course, all of this is preliminary right now. Have to wait until Disney posts hours and the 6 mth mark for ADR.

Tell me what ya'll think. Does everyone start to obsess over the details like me?

sounds like you have the disney bug. I think most of us on the boards do! Sounds like a fun trip!
