My Points Awarded me too many points

Here's the background. I ordered an Entertainment book through My Points back in May. I had to e-mail them after the 30 days to get my bonus 750 points awarded. A couple e-mails back and forth, and they credited the 750 points. Fine and dandy.

Forward to Thurs.- yesterday. I have an extra 750 points from Entertainment, and 100 extra for a purchase through Entertainment books. I did not purchase any additional books! I sent off an e-mail yesterday asking about the discrepancy. Today I got an e-mail back, and all I get back is
Please note that Points earned at participating sites are credited to
your account as soon as we receive confirmation of the transaction from
the vendor. This means that Points for making a purchase or registering
for an online service, may take up to 20 business days to post to your
account balance.

I don't thinkg that answered my question, does that mean I get another bonus 850 points??? I don't want to spend them if I didn't earn them. What should I do? Wait a few weeks and see what happens with those points?

I have 800 extra points. I had had to email about Avon points many moons ago. (After waiting months). I sent the email and was told they would be credited in 5 days. They weren't, but I didn't have my computer (packed up for a move) so I didn't have the Avon confirmation email at hand. I decided I would wait until we were settled in the new house and I had my computer back to persue it further. When I got set back up I looked at my account and on the same day I was credited 800 points for Avon and 800 from My Points, similar to awards I have seen when I have had to email for points. So it looks like I was awarded twice for the purchase. I, also, am afraid to spend them although it's been 6 weeks now.

I figure it took them so long I should get to keep the points, but I am sure they won't see it that way.

I too have an extra 750 points from the Entertainment Book offer. I'm sure once someone cashes out they'll find the mistake and correct all the current errors.

I was awarded 7 hundred some points on New Years Eve. All it said was MyPoints.com. I have no idea why, and when I cashed out, they didn't deduct anything. I looked at is as a little gift to me.

Since you tried to figure it out with them, and they didn't seem to get it, I don't know what else you can do. I would just wait a couple of months and see what happens.

Still have your extra points? I do Now if I just get to keep them until I cash out next month.

Yes, I still have the points. I feel kinda rich, but I don't think I'll spend any of those "found" points yet.

It has always been my experience that when a Reward Program has rewarded me points that I shouldn't have received, once they find out, they deduct them immediately...I definitely wouldn't use them until you find out for sure if they are yours! LOL

I do hope you get to keep them though!!
