my package came in...NO DISNEY LUGGAGE TAGS!!

hey guys. my package came in for my trip in june. it contained e-ticket reciepts for the plan ride and said that i can pick up the park tickets at check-in time at the resort.

however, i didn't recieve any luggage tags! anyone have something similar happen to them? it said on the info i recieved that i should have luggage tags as well. but all i got from them is the paper work that said what my flights were, e ticket reciepts, resort/ticket info. but no luggage tags!

arghhhhhhhhh! but it's ok, cause i don't plan on checking any luggage. we're going to try and put everything on a carry-on. but we are entited to magical express as well and i'm not sure if we need the luggage tags to board the magical express or not. any help, suggestions?

You do need the luggage tags for Magical Express if you're checking baggage, I am not sure about just boarding, but when we called to reserve they said we would receive the tags 10 days out from our flight, so I wouldn't worry about it right yet. You might want to call and confirm that they have your info for ME, but you've got time to get the tags if you do need them.

I would just call or maybe an e-mail, and ask when you will get them, especially if it says you should have gotten them with your package. I don't think anyone will mind, even if you don't plan on checking any luggage now, you never know, you might end up taking more than you plan on.

I just read on another thread that someone else is going in June and received their luggage tags. You may want to call your contact number and ask, just to be sure.

Did you book your trip with Magical Express? It doesn't sound like you did, but I could be misreading your original post. You have to call and make a reservation for ME..not just show up. After you make your reservation, they will send you a packet with all the info you will need, and the luggage tags needed to make the transfer. Even if you are doing carry-on luggage, you still need to have made a reservation for the ride. It doesn't get added automatically to your package deal. We used to get complimentary luggage tags when we booked a package with Disney, but those aren't the same as for ME. My apologies if you have reserved your space on Magical Express and I misread your post.

When I booked my July trip the reservationist told me I'd receive my luggage tags for the Magical Express about 2 weeks before I leave.

i booked the whole package thru the walt disney world website and chose magical express as part of it. it has it being verified on the info they sent via u.s. mail and also in the email i sent.

those who responded said that more info will be mailed 3 weeks prior to the vacation date. which corresponds to what some of you posted. however, as someone pointed out, some people already recieved travel luggage. hmmm. my best bet is to call disney. thanks everyone for your help.

Like I said, I could have been mistaken . Looks like my interpretive skills need some honing!!! Sorry. I called today to book ME for my June trip and was told 14-21 days before our trip we would get our info. Now, I will go away and work on my reading skills.

i believe it's my writing skills that need a fine tune-up. i type in a hurry cause i'm at work and i ususally don't try to be grammatically correct, etc. sometimes the wording isn't as clear as it should be.

I suspect that some packages TA's give you Mickey luggage tags as an extra. Those tags would NOT be the special tags you need for ME.

When you book a package through WDTC, you automatically receive Disney luggage tags. These are NOT the same ones as you would use for the Magical Express. I'm a little surprised that you received your final documents already for a June trip, as they don't send them until after your final payment due date (I'm going in the beginning of June, and my due date is not until April). Did your information come in a blue folder from WDTC? Or was it just a paper copy? Your final documents would have a hotel voucher, as well as an itinerary. I'm not doubting you, just trying to understand exactly what it was that you received.

Regardless, the luggage tags you receive as part of your package are separate from those for the ME. From my understanding, your ME luggage tags will be sent separately, about 2 weeks before you travel. And, if you are not checking luggage, you will not need those. The ME luggage tags are only for checked luggage, so the folks at the airport know to pull them out and put them on the luggage transportation to your resort.

Now I'm curious. We've booked the arrive by ME in Sept...what do the tags look like? I've got visions of flexible plastic Mickey shaped Luggage tag with your name and addy already printed on there. Some one tell me ...the suspense is killing me

I don't think anyone knows what they look like yet. We may just have to wait until the end of April to find out. That would be about when folks that have booked for May 5 and after will be getting them in the mail. So, those of you who get them, be sure to post what they look like.
