My November buddies

I think it depends on what you mean by the middle of November. We were there from the Nov 5-12 and they weren't up yet. Some decorations and trees were up at resorts. I think the big light display at MGM (the name escapes me right now) was to begin the day we left. So I would expect by the end of the third week of November that the Parks would be decorated. It seems to me I read somewhere that the lights, decorations were all in place by Thanksgiving weekend so. That is why I believe that everything gets put up during that third week in November.

Hi, everyone! I'm so excited...we just added two nights to our trip, so we'll be arriving on the 25th! Originally we were supposed to arrive on the 27th, but I had forgotten that the Sunday (26th) after Thanksgiving was one of the BUSIEST times at the airport (Had orig thought of doing a redeye)....and the redeyes were about a thousand bucks each :scared1: .
It was either a lot more expensive or we couldn't hardly find any decent times to fly out. They had a good price the 27th, but it was if we wanted to do a redeye and then arrive on the 28th ( :lmao: Yeah, right-we'd miss a whole night we paid for).
So.. we found it much cheaper to fly out the 25th. We'll just stay at the ASM those two nights. I think my kids will love it. We won't be hitting the parks until the 27th, but that's ok..I'll still be in the world. I'm sure we can find other things to do on the 26th. I'd like to see DD or the boardwalk or some of the other hotels, etc..... :teeth: sorry this is kind of long winded.

We did the same thing, we are driving though and i said to DH that we'd leave really early on the 25 so we'll arrive the 26 and we are staying at POP for one night. With whom (airline did you book?)

We booked through Delta. We'll be flying out of Los Angeles (LAX), which is already expensive for the four of us! :)
But I'm kinda glad that we got the extra days. There is so much we can do on that Sunday (we'll be arriving the night before) or we can all just sleep in and rest up for the rest of the week.

We are going to WDW for Thanksgiving week! It will be our first trip ever!! I am so excited!! :yay: I know it will be the best family trip we have ever taken. Only 235 days to go..... :cheer2:

We're going in November too!!!! It will be me, dh, and our 3 girls who at the time of the trip will be 13yo, 4yo, and a month shy of 1yo. We will be getting to disney on the 25th and staying at a local hotel and then checking into ASMo on the 26th and checking out on 12-8. We're driving Yuck :crazy2: but dh won't fly  I guess as long as we get there it doesn't matter. We both love Disney and keep adding days so maybe we will end up being there even longer. A girl can dream can't she. We will be doing dh's big 30th birthday there on the 1st and will go to HDDR for that. We love HDDR. We will also do the Christmas party although I'm not decided on the date. My 2 sisters and there families might be heading down too if there money is ok.

"When can we book our PSs if we are staying on property? TIA!!"
MommyMichelle,
I think we can book 180 + 10 days earlier....so 190 days prior to our trip. I believe that would be sometime in May which will be perfect if they come out with the MVMCP tickets in early May" Cheers Kat

Count us in for the 9th to the 19th at POFQ, we were at CBR the 3rd to the 13th in 2004. I hope it is the mid 80's like that trip.

We were there last year the second weekend in November for our first trip to Super Soap and the Food and Wine Festival and some of the decorations were up. That Monday we stopped back at MGM in the afternoon and we arrived just as the Christmas parade was passing by and we were told that the Osborne lights were being turned on for the 1st time that night. It was a great way to end a fantastic weekend and we are hoping to do it again this November.

It's almost April..... Soon it will be ADR or PSing (not sure what you call reservations at Disney, now) :) - time. I'm so excited, but yet having a hard time choosing where we sould eat, even though I still have almost two months to pick.
So many restaurants, so little time. :hyper: :hyper2: :hyper2:

We're heading to WDW for Thanksgiving this year - never been there over a holiday! When do they put up the decorations? And when is the MVMCP offered? We're planning for the week of Thanksgiving, but DH wants to head home on the Saturday after - I'm afraid we're going to miss all the Christmas stuff! I need some advice - any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks to all!
Hope princess:
