My November buddies

We did a surprise trip for my dd's when my oldest was in kindergarten.....we took her out for a week. Teachers didn't mind. I got it approved from the principal. It was the best time to go. We were there for a week right after labor day. We drove 600 miles and both girls didn't figure anything out. We told them we were driving to Michigan to visit relatives. They both missed the big sign you drive under when entering the grounds. We pulled up to Dixie landings (then) and asked if they knew where they were. They said, "Michigan". I told them to walk around and see if they could figure it out. Boy were they surprised. It didn't take them too long to figure it out. Then they saw grandma & grandpa sitting in the lobby waiting on them. It wa the best trip ever. Take the kids out while they are young enough. My dd's are in 7th and 5th now. I can't take them out for a week. Enjoy and don't worry, time flies too fast.

Thanks for the reassurance. That's kind of what I thought... take him out now while he's still young. I probably won't do it later on. I think he'll figure it out as soon as we get to the airport, but I can't wait to see the look on his face when he does!

We're going the week of Nov 20th. Was a little bummed to find out that there is no MVMCP that week. I was really looking forward to going to it this time. Guess we will wait until next trip.
