Sorry to hear that. Maybe things will change. My husband said we could not afford this year, but thanks to free dining we are able to go.

Would it be possible to keep your current reservation, pay it off slowly & surprise him with it as a gift to both him and yourself?

I feel your pain! I booked free dining for late August as a suprise for my family and my husband has said "no way". I will be cancelling it even though I don't want to. Let me tell you one thing for sure because of this there is so much tension in my house you could cut it with a knife and I don't recommend it at all. I thought my husband would be happy because I was happy and then he said he would but didn't really want to go and we have gone back and forth and now if I evne mention it he just scoots away from me. So take it from me it isn't worth the stress plan it when you are both on board and I am going to guess that it will be that much more enjoyable. Whatever happens good luck!

If it's a financial burden then I wouldn't push it. But, if it's just that he doesn't want to go, have you thought about going with family or friends? My DH has never wanted to go in the past. But he has never kept the kids and I from going. But the Disney magic has finally caught up with him. We are going together in Nov. for our anniv. and then again in June 2007 on a family trip.

We were to go this year and then couldn't because of my DH's company going on strike. All the $$ I had saved was used up to live off of for the two months. The next time we will get to go is August of 2008. But let me tell you I believe it will be for 12 days not just 8. That is such a bonus. Also my DM, DF, DB & Wife with the kids will be going also so it should be worth the wait.

Sorry to hear you can't go until 2008 . I really really really want to go this year but can't swing it due to dh changing jobs. So we are going to save each month so we can go for Christmas and to celabrate Ds's birthday 12/20 (2yrs) & 12/21 (4yrs) of next year or early 2008. So save and it will be worth it when you go. Every think of getting the Disney card. We almost paid for our trip back in 2005

I'm so sorry. I am sure you are devastated and I could just cry for you. I hope you will be able to change his mind, but if not, I would bargain for a longer trip in 2008 and a commitment from him that you would definitely be going then.

Wow i fell odd because all the husbands are saying no to 2007 my wife is saying no to me for 2007.She did no even want to go in 2008 but i begged her and she said yes so me being a man i fell your pain,so i will be there in 2008! I miss that place and i have only been once!

I am feeling anxious about our October trip. I submitted a transfer request and if it goes through, we will have to cancel our trip. But we will be closer and reschedule for February/March. The waiting to find out is killing me, hopefully by the end of next week I will know!

Hope you can come to a mutual agreement on your trip!

I'm sorry to hear you can't go this year....DH and I have made it to Disney 3 times in the past 12 months....once last September, once in May, and again this September....

Hopefully you can make your trip in 2008 longer!!!

You guys are all so sweet! This is my first time coming back to the boards since the bad news. It's hard to read all about it and know you can't go when you wanted to. And now we have to get the car in for costly repairs that weren't all expected, so 2007 is definitely out. I'll plan for 2008 though. Thanks for the support!!
