I get motion sickness very easily, which makes me nervous about DCL... any tips? I would love to go!!![]()
Well, if it helps, the cruise line is REALLY accomodating if you get sick - they have motion sickness pills at the front desk and they'll bring you sliced green apples to your room if you request it (room service is free anyway). Ginger ale helps too but that's not free, however you can BRING your own on the ship. I always hear that whatever company makes wrist bands that you can wear on the cruise that help. I've seen people wearing those but I don't know where they got them.
Also, the lower the deck level you stay on the less rocking there is. But I will say I've been on 3 cruises (all Disney) and I only felt the effects of the ship rocking once. So you never know - you could go on a cruise where there's hardly rocking at all!
On another note....YES to the DISNEYMOON!!! My df and I love the Disney cruises SOOOO much we got engaged on the 7-day Eastern Caribbean on the Magic and we're getting married on a 3-day Wonder cruise. If you can't afford the 7-day then I say try to swing the 4 day. It's REALLY nice to have a day at sea to do the Palo Brunch (which is incredible), not just dinner (they don't do Palo Brunches on the 3-day b/c there is no day at sea), and to have time to tour the ship yourselves. You don't get to know the ship as well if you do a 3-day cruise where you're more focused on getting off the boat during the day for excursions and such.
