My new disboard obsession!!

I get motion sickness very easily, which makes me nervous about DCL... any tips? I would love to go!! :hyper:

Well, if it helps, the cruise line is REALLY accomodating if you get sick - they have motion sickness pills at the front desk and they'll bring you sliced green apples to your room if you request it (room service is free anyway). Ginger ale helps too but that's not free, however you can BRING your own on the ship. I always hear that whatever company makes wrist bands that you can wear on the cruise that help. I've seen people wearing those but I don't know where they got them.

Also, the lower the deck level you stay on the less rocking there is. But I will say I've been on 3 cruises (all Disney) and I only felt the effects of the ship rocking once. So you never know - you could go on a cruise where there's hardly rocking at all!

On another note....YES to the DISNEYMOON!!! My df and I love the Disney cruises SOOOO much we got engaged on the 7-day Eastern Caribbean on the Magic and we're getting married on a 3-day Wonder cruise. If you can't afford the 7-day then I say try to swing the 4 day. It's REALLY nice to have a day at sea to do the Palo Brunch (which is incredible), not just dinner (they don't do Palo Brunches on the 3-day b/c there is no day at sea), and to have time to tour the ship yourselves. You don't get to know the ship as well if you do a 3-day cruise where you're more focused on getting off the boat during the day for excursions and such.

I went on my first cruise in January. I was terrified. I made sure to call DCL and let them know I was scared to death. They worked hard to make sure I felt at home.

I get very carsick easily, and I found that the first night, it felt strange on the boat (but I was told it's rough the first night as the ship is crossing the Gulf stream), but I did not get sick. The sensations felt very similar to flying.

I'll tell you, I cried the whole first day because I was so scared. The second day, I said to Rob, I will never cruise again.

Two more days at Castaway Cay (we were one of the unscheduled ones for ship work), and by the time we got home, I was looking into doing again.

Two weeks later, we had two more cruises booked! :rotfl: We're doing Land/Sea in January, and a double Castaway Cay Western Caribbean next November.

We even talked about changing our honeymoon to go on another cruise this September... but we both decided we wanted to enjoy the deluxe dining plan more! :lmao:

It's completely worth it. It's a whole other experience. It's not like going to Disney World, which worried me. I get bored very easily, and I need to go go go all the time.

It was the most relaxing trip I've ever taken (and "relax" is not in my vocabulary). I LOVED it.

I am getting Married on the Disney Cruise in November,,,,I have been on 3 Disney Cruises and they are WONDERFUL!!!!!

We did the Disney cruise for part of our honeymoon last May. It was fantastic. It was my DH first Disney cruise and my second. :cloud9: We got married in Disney, stayed there for 11 nights and then did the 3 night cruise. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful time. We would definitely do the cruise again. When I hear anyone talk about cruising, I always mention Disney. It's spectacular.
