Let me just say that my DS(3) is killing me!!!

It has really been 1 thing after another and he needs a break, I need a break. For those that remember when he was an infant he had so many complications, hospital stays, tests, etc...... We all went through H***!!
This went on and on for almost 2 years and at one point we thought we were going to loose him. severely under weight, labeled "failure to thrive" at 6months old......He has had delays in speech, OT issues, and more all due to his complications as a baby. Lot's more tests, and theropies for speech and OT, the speech therapy is still ongoing. Not to mention the horrific car accident we all almost died in in Sept! Thankfully he wasn't injured. Anyway, he had recently had his tonsils and adnoids removed(he had sleep apnea, and hasn't slept through the night, ever)Recovery was more H*** due to all his issues and weight.
Then just yesturday he fell down the steps in our house. They are hard wood and then landed on the hardwood floors. Huge bruise, but thankfully he was OK. Well, I just took him and DD to a little fair close to our house. After riding a couple rides we get in the car and I'm driving when DD screams and I turn around and DS is covered in BLOOD!!! :faint:
I frantically pull over to see where it was coming from and it was his nose. We were really close to home so I flew back here and stopped the bleeding and cleaned him up. Poor thing was just asking to go back on another ride! What a trooper. DD(8) and I were a wreck! Poor thing she worries so much about her brother. His Dr. seems to think that the nose bleed isn't related to the fall yesturday, or the operation, which was a month ago. I am just paranoid! I want to put him in a box and keep him safe!!LOL As a family we have really been through alot with him. I don't know I'm just venting I guess. :confused3
Sorry, and thanks for listening!

YOu have been through a lot, Nikki. Hoping the long holiday weekend is a restful one for you and family.

Thanks for the hugs!!

Dan, thanks for always being there!! :goodvibes

:grouphug: How scary!!! I hope you get some rest and relaxation with this being a long, holiday weekend! Take Care!

Those kids can certainly run us through the ringer cant they?

Cam got a horrible sunburn this week ( water park with the teen group, yes he had sun screen on) and then today he was at VBS and they had a pinata, he ran in and fell down and some kid kicked him in the arm and now he has a big ole bruise there. Im sure it was an accident but you know how crazy those Pinata Stampedes can get ;)

Hang in there, mom, it does get better ( some day... or so Im told... ;) )

Wow, you and your family have gone through a lot. You need a break. I hope you have an uneventful holiday!

Poor thing! You've all been through your share, that's for sure. It's so hard when we are worried about our little ones.

:grouphug:
God Bless you & yours! You all have just been through so much.
As the others have said, I wish you a peaceful, mellow holiday weekend--& every day thereafter, too! You all sure are overdue for some rest & relaxation!

Awww, I'm sorry that you're having such a hard time! You know, sometimes it's the kids that give us the most worries and provide the most challenges that end up making us the most proud and being the easiest in other ways. I wouldn't say that it gets easier as they get older, but it gets different, which can be easier in some ways (geez, I don't think that made any sense).

Today I was ready to wring the neck of my 15yo, but yesterday I was so incredibly proud of how he has overcome so many challenges that would have been so discouraging to so many of us. Yes, totally different problems than what you are dealing with, but worries and challenges just the same

I hope your son is fine--they sure do keep us worrying, don't they? I figure that I'm earning each and every gray hair that I'm growing! :teeth:

How are your DD and DH doing?

Sending many hugs your way!!!

I hope things with your DS get better - God Bless you and your family!!

Thanks so much for all your incouraging words!

DD is doing very well. DH is still not too good. He has been advised to have surgery on his wrist but he keeps putting it off. He's scared he might make things worse. He has an appt. with a hand specialist this month so we'll see how that goes.

You know some days we'll all be fine. Then out of nowhere, like just 2 days ago, DH and I were talking about the accident and we both just started to cry. Just the thought of us being so close to death, especially our children, we could've lost them. It' sometimes too much to handle.
We have the depsition coming on Aug. 8th. I am so nervous about having to relive the whole thing again. Just a few weeks ago I had another panic attack because I was thinking about the accident.

I'm no expert, but I think what you have gone through and are continuing to go through are perfectly normal. Of course normal isn't easy or fair. Sorry about having to relive it--that will be so difficult for all of you. I hope your DH's appt with the hand surgeon goes well.
