just knocked my glass globe right off the light on my ceiling. That's how much they are stomping, jumping, bouncing, whatever. Not only are there 2 of them, now they have company overnight so there are 4 of them. These aren't little 3 year olds. These are in the range of 7-12 years old. :furious: :furious: Not to mention the walls are paper thin to begin with. You know those globes that screw in by 3 or 4 screws? They were that bad that they knocked the screws loose enough that the globe fell. I am furious!!!!!! :furious: :furious: I am supposed to be studying for my state boards, but how in the world can I? :furious: :furious:

I'm sorry. That must be frustrating.
How did they get in?

What a pain! :furious:

Go to the library...............or come here...........I'll set you up, upstairs. The kids have two rooms and a playroom up there that they never use...........they prefer to hang all over us.

go rent Mommie Dearest for the nice kids to watch ::yes::

Call the landlord!
Oh, I called her a few weeks ago and asked her politely to talk to them and ask them to keep it down. Their children are up until 11pm-midnight every single night, yes, even school nights. Bouncing, jumping, etc. Ohhhh, the landlord was "so surprised" because they've been living here for 8 years and she's never had a problem with them. They're so nice, yada yada. Yet, before I moved in here she told me she doesn't understand why she can't keep anyone in this apartment. Gee, why do you think?

I cannot wait to find another place.

I'm all for the next step. If you have gone to the landlord, the next step would be a noise call to the local police. Yup, call the law! I bet that would get their attention.

If you have a video recorder record the noise and have it ready for when the police arrive.

The police are not going to do anything about kids jumping around in their own home. That's ridiculous. If they had music blaring all night that would be different.

If they are romping enough to knock a globe off a fixture, I would think the police might stop by if they are not too busy. A "courtesy call" from the police might be just what those tennants need to be reminded of basic human cooperation and consideration when living in an apartment, condo, townhouse, etc. You will have to judge how bad it is.

A call to the police is in order...

"Theres all sorts of banging and thumping and loud noises coming from upstairs. One of the bangs knocked something off my ceiling. I'm concerned..."

Thats what some people seem to lack these days.. My neighbors have the attic and the other half of my house. the girl/boyfried and 1 child that live in the attic can be load.. oh its fun when the daughter jumps off her bed on to the floor over and over again.

The best is when the boyfriend is in his computer room aka a former closet and blasts the music to the point where if you in my bathroom and on the toilet the vibration would knock you off.

a friend of mine used to have neighbors who you would hear having ummmmm relations  .. she would them hear them roll off the bed and continue on the floor. She would take her broom and start hitting the ceiling. :rotfl2: :lmao:

Have you tried talking to the parents? Maybe they don't realize how disruptive their kids are.

The landlord did talk to them after I complained a few weeks ago. They did quiet down since then...until tonight.
