Ok- this guy is married- of course his wife is away for a few more weeks and has no idea that he made an 8 foot hole in the side of his house...
Not only did he take out a doorway and a window but beneath the window was a portion of a fireplace that he took a sledge hammer too- it is (was) an extended hearth sort of like a shelf of bricks.
It was quite funny watching he and his partners in crime my dh and a former neighbor push this thing in the house and be more worried about the paint job on the car than on the antiques inside lol-
It is a 1964 Mustang- and he bought it (and another for parts) for his daughter when she was a Sophomore in highschool- she is now in her second year of college lol- but drives mom's old but newer mustang while there...
The reason he is putting it inside the house was that the new headliner was installed but he doesn't have side windows yet... He seemed to think me just plain silly at the suggestion of covering it with a tent or tarp or something like that.
Now you asked for pictures...
This is them pushing the Car inside the house
Ok here they had to stop and move an antique armoir so that the car would clear the fireplace
Here is a picture from inside- note the sofa to the left and corner of the armoir to the right- he didn't move anything out ahead of time
I told him that I would make a disc of all the photos we took- there are a few more that show the wife how close some of her things came to distruction lol-
My kids thought it was just silly but knowing this neighbor it really didn't surprise them much...
My dh decided that this would have to be a new "You might be a redneck... if you have a '64 Mustang parked in your living room"
And I'm now involved because I told the neighbor he needed a carriage door since that is what the hole looks like now- and so he is going to tell his wife he is going to install a carriage door on the phone- but not tell her that there is a car in there.
