And my husband was horrified that I wanted to store my bicycle in the dinning room during Hurricane Rita. I love old cars especially Mustangs and T-Birds but I would KILL my dh if I came home to that. He has pulled some doozies in the past when I was out of town, but I'mm telling you he'd be dead.

I think it may have been much cheaper for him to find a storage place with units big enough to store the car. That would have to be cheaper than repairing the hole.

And now that he has this big gaping hole in his house, how exactly does he intend to secure the place?

How about one of those portable garages? He should have posted to the Dis first- we could have provided him hundreds of alternatives. Of course he went with the obvious choice of cut a gaping hole in the side of my house and park the car between the fireplace and couch. I can see how he would have come to that conclusion.

He'd be SOOOOOOO Dead by the time I got done with him. What is/was he thinking. Spend 50-100 bucks on a tarp or tear a big ol' hole in the side of my house that will cost a 1000+ bucks to repair.

The pictures are great. Would you please try and be around with camera in hand when his dearly beloved gets home and sees what he did. Or better yet, video it and send it to American Funniest Video's. Bet you would win something.

He secured the hole- with a temporary wall- made from OSB and 2x4's- frankly anyone wanting to break in is in for a treat lol...

We told him we were going to get him a sign for their living room that says "Mustang Parking Only"

I don't know, I'm not too sure this guy makes good decisions. Lets recap:

1. "I can put a hole in my house and put the Mustang in my living room"
2. "I can paint it purple". OMG a classic Mustang, painted purple. Black, white, red, even blue, but purple!

I would just like to congratulate you. You have taken a set of pictures that will be part of "redneck picture" emails and other bizarre urban legend stories for years to come. More people will eventually see these than can fit into the Magic Kingdom.
