My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Well, now I'm all packed! My camera was the first thing I packed followed by my cell phone and charger. If my phone dies I can't send anyone pictures

Safe travels to you too! I hope the rest of the week flies by for you! See you Saturday!

Well, I guess it worked, because Jill and I both got castle pictures today. :)

You guys are all so close! I can't wait to hear about all these DIS meets and see all the pictures!

First one will be Saturday. We also may be meeting Debbie, from the Be Our Guest Podcast. She called and said she would be in MK Saturday, so if we get there before she leaves, we will hook up for a few minutes.

I am getting awfully excited that your trip is so close!!! Just a couple more days!!!

I was thinking of getting excited, but then I got a stack of testing books in my mailbox today. Kinda sucked the smile right off of my face. ;) I will try to get as much of that out of the way as I possible can the next two days, and then I will be totally zoned in on Disney things for the next five days. :wizard:

:dance3: 3 SLEEPS!!! :dance3:

For a normal person, yes. I'll probably get one decent night's sleep in the next three all combined.

Good Morning Dis'ers. had to post just to look at my countdown
Our trip is turning out to just be an overnight quickie but I am still sooo excited. Can't wait! Safe travels to all of you heading to the Magic Kingdom soon!

So it's Friday overnight or Saturday overnight? In other words, we will or won't see you Saturday. I'm guessing we'll be over at MK around 2, or before, if everything goes just right.

I am finally caught up! I love all of the shopping pictures, and don't you just love the pool area at Saratoga? I do! I cannot believe your trip is so close! I wish mine was! I don't even know the next time i'll be able to go I'm trying to convince my grandparents to pay for a solo trip for me....we'll see how that goes.....Can't wait for the next update!

I probably wouldn't pay for a solo trip for Brooklynn. I'd make her take me with her! :)

The pool at Saratoga was nice, but they didn't get to stay in it long because it was a little cool. I love the zero entry pools.

Down to two now. I gotta get through Pajama Day and Read Me Day, and the next day is Happy Place Day. :)

Your trip is so soon!!!!!: Weather looks great right now. I hope the rest of the week goes by quickly.

It looks like it will be plenty warm. :thumbsup2

The next two days will be busy and fun at school.

Hi MeMom & Jill! I have been lurking for a while on all your reports and I enjoy them very much. I love all of the pictures you take, it really brings us all back with you through your trip. I finally have caught up on your current report and wanted to stop lurking and say hi

I'm sorry we will just miss you. A girl trip will be a lot of fun. :cutie:

Thanks for joining us! We're going to keep this report open for updates while we're gone, and we'll start a new report for the coming trip, so we hope you will come along with us.

Have a great time on your trip!

Single digits tomorrow! And I will be soaking in the magic! ahhhhhhhh

I am so happy it all worked out!

While we were waiting for Magical Express, I watched the girls and Jill went and did a little shopping in the gift shop. When she came back, she had bought me a duffel bag. I was thrilled to get such a nice gift, and it gave me a lot more space for hauling some of my goodies home.

Here's a picture of the bag.

It came out with a kind of interesting perspective, huh? Lola had grown and Brooklynn had shrunk.

Bella inspects the cruise bus.

SSRStayOct2010826.jpg

A grand old high-flying DVC flag!

SSRStayOct2010827.jpg

Goodbye, SSR! Thanks for having us!

SSRStayOct2010828.jpg

The goodbye movie tried to talk us into taking one of those fabulous cruises that our DIS buddies love so much.

SSRStayOct2010831.jpg

Bella tapped out within a couple of minutes.

SSRStayOct2010832.jpg

I like to see this sign when we are coming into MCO, not going out!!!

SSRStayOct2010835.jpg

That face says it all.

It's okay, Brookie baby, we are headed back soon! :cool1:

Lol Memom it is a looong overnight. We will get there early Friday. 5k early sat morning then hang around with some friends. Maybe Epcot for a while and then mk. We will be at mk sometime before 5 ish. I will text u. After we meet then we will jump in the car for 4 hr ride home. Can u say Exhausted? Lol. It the first time away from DS 2 so I cut our weekend trip short.

Aw Brooklynn I have made the same face leaving wdw many times :( :)

What a sweet surprise to get that duffel!

Has the movie convinced you get to book a cruise? It has long ago convinced me, but my wallet has yet to agree? :confused3 :rotfl:

Oh that last picture is heartbreaking! Glad you are going back in a few days. I'm having such a crappy week, I'd like to sneak into your suitcase and go with you! ;)

Brooklyn's expressions really do say it all! Probably the same face we all make! And I love the picture of the seemingly huge Lola!! Too funny! I had to go back, I did a double take!

Oh yes, I forgot to tell you! Over the weekend, I was in Indiana visiting family and I have certainly created a monster in my four year old neice, Mia...She is obsessed with Disney World and the movies and all and on Saturday we were in the Disney Store chatting about princesses and I asked her which one was her favourite....oh dear she must have been chanelling Brooklyn because she cried out "UUUURRRRRIIIIEELLLLL GGGGRRRRLLLLL" Yes, Ariel Girl. Only with her it sounds like "Uriellllll Guuurrlll" I wonder why they call her that! It must be in the movie somehow....I'll have to watch it and pay closer attention!

Hurray for a super-close trip! :thumbsup2 I'm so jealous...

Awww, that last picture of Brooklyn is just pitiful! :(

Aww the last picture just sums up the last day blues...don't worry Brooklynn, just a few more days! :goodvibes

Here's a picture of the bag.

It came out with a kind of interesting perspective, huh? Lola had grown and Brooklynn had shrunk.

I only scrolled halfway down, so I only saw Giant Lola and Brooklyn. I thought Brooklyn was holding Lola and all I could think of when I read Jill did some shopping was "How did she find that giant Lola." :rotfl2:

BTW- I booked POP today Dec 29-Jan 3rd. :dance3:

Such a sad update :( I have a love/hate relationship with the goodbye movie! The worst part is that i'm the only one in my family who wants anything to do with Disney....everyone thinks I'm crazy for wanting to keep going back and not wanting to travel the world....but I just don't.......goodness....I am just so sad right now......

I have never seen the video that they show when you are leaving Disney and heading back to the airport. I usually (well, always) just turn on my iPod, put on my headphones, and stare out the window as I try not to cry. Pitiful but true. :)

I got lots of texts from Christine today! I think her and her mom headed back to WL after Wishes since they were exhausted. It was very strange b/c at the same time Christine was updating me on her whereabouts and sending me a picture of the castle, Charles was updating me on his whereabouts in Hawaii -- which happened to be Pearl Harbor. I'm completely fascinated with history and historical disasters so he was sending me as many pictures and updates as he could, but getting a picture of Cinderella castle, then a picture of the USS Arizona, was a little disconcerting.

That last picture of Brooklynn is so sad. Good thing you guys are going to be back very soon!

Hi Memom and everyone

Can I ask you all to say a few prayers for people here in NZ. There was a major earthquake in Christchurch our 2nd largest city Monday lunchtime. 75 have been confirmed dead and there are still 400 missing in buildings that have fallen down. Its the biggest disaster we have had here so I suppose we are lucky in that respect but being a small country it has hit us all hard as most of us know someone there.

They only had a big one last September, but that was in the midle of the night and noone was killed but lots of damage - this time as it was the middle of the day and more powerful and it has caused total devastation in some areas - it is awful to see. Christchurch has lots of old buildings, churches built back in the 1800's and most of them have fallen down or have to now be pulled down. Its sad to see all that history gone in the space of a few minutes.

I personally have lots of cousins, aunts and uncles living there and so far 4 of the families have lost their houses but they are all alive which is the main thing.

So a few prayers and thoughts would be much appreciated if you dont mind. Sorry to put a downer on your thread Memom.

I hope you Jill and the girls have a great break and catchup with Trent. Your updates are a bit of sunshine in life at the moment.

Thank you

Yeah, those testing booklets would suck the smile right off my face, too.

Just two more days, MeMom!!!

Cute duffel bag!!! Yes, Brooklyn's face does say it all!

Rather wistful looking, huh?

Okie dokie, then. See you Saturday. :goodvibes

Has the movie convinced you get to book a cruise? It has long ago convinced me, but my wallet has yet to agree?

I think we would enjoy a short cruise. I do not think I would enjoy the inside small hallways and rooms. Too claustrophobic. I could probably do it for one night just to be able to go to Castaway Cay. I know it's fabulous, and if I could sleep out on the open deck, I could probably handle it, but the thought of going down small hallways into the inner portion of the ship takes all the thoughts of cruising away.

Oh yeah, and there's wallet thing you referred to, too. ;)

Oh that last picture is heartbreaking! Glad you are going back in a few days. I'm having such a crappy week, I'd like to sneak into your suitcase and go with you!

Wish you could. Are you guys among the ones who got snow again this week?

Please send me pics! I need to get a "fix" while in class! Ha!

Have phone; will send magic. :wizard:

I think they say 'girl' just because they are discovering and verbalizing their world, and knowing the difference in who is a girl and who is a boy is a part of that. I'm glad you have a Disneyfied niece.

You are SO close!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Two more school days, two more half sleeps, and then we're outta here! :dance3:

Awww, that last picture of Brooklyn is just pitiful!

Idinit, though? ;)

Aww the last picture just sums up the last day blues...don't worry Brooklynn, just a few more days!

She called me squealing about WDW a few days ago. Silly girl. Can't wait to see her again.

I only scrolled halfway down, so I only saw Giant Lola and Brooklyn. I thought Brooklyn was holding Lola and all I could think of when I read Jill did some shopping was "How did she find that giant Lola."

BTW- I booked POP today Dec 29-Jan 3rd.

Giant Lola is the next new character after Duffy.
You can buy a variety of farm outfits for her in The Land. :)

You are not crazy around here. You seem perfectly normal to us.
Whenever you need a fix, youtube is excellent to see the shows and ride the rides.

I watch the video to soak every last bit of Disney World up, and then we go to the Disney Store at the airport to make it last even longer, because when it is over, it is over.

Jill and I got the one castle picture. I hope to get another one today.

I'd love to see Pearl Harbor. I talk about it with my school kids every year and show them pictures, but to really walk out there would be very moving.

Certainly you will all be in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. We have had disasters here, too, and it devastates the whole country 'family' for a long time. Keep us posted. I am very glad all of your people made it trhough okay.

Yeah, those testing booklets would suck the smile right off my face, too.

Test, test, test.
We may not do a lot of teaching, but we can test with the best of 'em. :upsidedow

I am so glad you checked in so that we know you are okay. My first thought when the news started covering it was "I have a Dis friend there!" I'm so glad all your family seems to be accounted for and safe so sorry for the damage and loss. I will continue to keep you guys in my prayers as everyone begins to pick up the pieces and prayers of Thanksgiving that you and your family are safe.

:cool1::cool1: 2 SLEEPS!!! :cool1::cool1:

Are you bringing the duffle bag with you?
It was so thoughtful of her to buy it for you....she is an awesome daughter! :thumbsup2

Very cool pic of Lola and Brooklynn.

Awww, Bella is dreaming of going on that DCL bus....someday....her dream may come true.:)
I'll let you know how big the room is.

Goodbye bus is bittersweet but .....that is soon going to change! Magical Express here you come!

You must be so thrilled it is so close! :woohoo:

I tell ya, you have this TR thing down to an exact science! One wraps up as soon as you are walking out the door for another trip! :thumbsup2 You are so close, you should be able to smell the popcorn by now! popcorn::

I meant to ask you... how are you able to go in February? Does your school have a winter break or are you just using some of your days? DD is out for three days starting tomorrow for their winter break but no other schools around here get that time off. When I picked her up from school yesterday, she was all flustered about something. When I asked her what was wrong she told me that one of her classmates was going to Disney over winter break and "THAT IS JUST NOT FAIR!!!" :lmao: What was I supposed to say to that? :confused3 She's right! :rotfl: So I just reminded her that when we are there in October, her little friend will be stuck back here in NC saying the same thing about her! ;)
