My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

 Time to get those new suitcases out and start packing!!!

So excitting that you are less than a week away!

I'm day dreaming about all the new pics you are going to take! :thumbsup2

Brooklynnsmommy will you post the link to your FB pics again for me....pretty please..:flower3:

Off to work I go...but I'm happy to say I will have two days off in a row cause it's our "Family Day" a Provincial holiday on Monday. :goodvibes

I will post the link right before we leave so anyone who doesn't have FB can join in on the picture fun!

I think it has been a rough week all around. My Thursday night through Friday was a nightmare!! I will choose to blame the full moon.

Disney Blog has birthday wishes for Lilly. Some really great pictures too.

The view from where I sat.

Ok, the pool fun and cheesecake was bad enough, but this is pure torture!!! What are you trying to do to me, Memom! :lmao:

Seriously though, this is a beautiful picture. And ya know what... soccer starts around here next week so that can only mean one thing... spring is right around the corner!!! :dance3: Heck, by the time you get back from Disney, most of this harsh winter should be over!! Enjoy those palm tree views for me while you are there!

The picture from right outside the food court made me miss Pop so much! I can't wait to be back there sometime next year. I'm hoping that after my parents' Scotland trip, they'll be wanting or needing to plan a Disney trip for something else to look forward to :rolleyes1

I love the palm tree picture. Charles is in Hawaii now, so I am really excited to have pictures from both there and Disney to get me through till the warm weather! Yesterday it hit 60 and now it's back to the 30's and very windy -- we actually have a wind advisory till 2 AM. I can't wait for spring!

All caught up! I would love to make a Mickey Kitchen....just don't think Ben would like me to replace all of our perfectly usable utensils.....maybe when they wear out??? ;)

I'm excited to hear about your next trip. I'm loving the pictures, even if I don't have time to comment. I'll be following along on FB.

We did get a bit of exciting news. With Ben's work schedule, he told me we couldn't leave early (for our whole family trip to Florida) to go to Disney. Needless to say, I wasn't a very happy camper. But he was able to get time off the next week, so I will end up with 2 extra Disney days. Yay!!! :cool1:

Time to get that new luggage out! :woohoo: I know you are soooooo ready for the trip and a stress free break. Enjoy!

Sorry you had such a rough week at work. Just one more to get through and then Disney and Trent!:woohoo: Woohoo for you!

Hope you are busy packing your new luggage.

I was busy thinking how beautiful of a day your last day looked, then I remembered we were there enjoying the nice weather as well.:upsidedow

The Pop pictures make me wish I was staying there this trip. I am trying new places for new experiences, but Pop is home and like comfort food.

I hope while you are packing your new luggage the magical feeling helps wash away last week's school pressures.:goodvibes
I know several years I was past ready for Spring break.

Love that palm tree pic:cloud9:. I want to get a palm tree charm for my bracelet.

Have fun trip shopping today!! I need to get to Kohl's soon as I got a 30% off coupon. Of course that is how they get you.

Have a wonderful weekend. Sorry you had a rough week last week. Hopefully this week will be better & be over before you know it.

You are going to have a busy week!!! Just in case I dont get another chance - have a wonderful time and enjoy all the dismeets you have planned. I am looking forward to the hearing all about it and seeing photos.

I meant to tell you I got a calendar done with photos from our trip last year. I did it thru the photopass system. Cost alot of money but it so worth it. I splashed out and got 5 of them - one for all members of the family and my 94 year old grandma and they love it.

I will treasure it forever.

Take care

I am off to bed now I have caught up.

A Disney calendar with my family in it would definitely be a treasure. :)

Off to work I go...but I'm happy to say I will have two days off in a row cause it's our "Family Day" a Provincial holiday on Monday.

We would have had a three day weekend this weekend, but we're making up a snow day Monday.

I have a suitcase open, and I've thrown some things in there. I'm not too fancy, so it won't be a big ordeal. I'll roll up a few t-shirts and capris together, throw in a couple of pairs of pants, in case it's a little cool, etc. My packing is not a hard thing, really.

Sorry to hear it was a rough week at school, MeMom. It has been kind of crazy around these parts, too.

Yeay for trip shopping today! Does that mean you will also start packing in that pretty new luggage?

I love, love, love the picture of the palm trees above you. Sigh. I so wish I was there this morning.

It was. One of my students is going through some major stuff at home, and DCS came to school to see him. They talked to me, as well. For now, he is still with us, but that could change any day. It's a mess, and it's emotionally draining to do the regular school stuff, the testing and paperwork, be constantly reminded in every faculty meeting we have that we are a failing system, and have the extra stress of things like this issue. I was ready to be completely alone and away from the world last night.

When I got up this morning, it was rainy and cool outside, so I decided to just do my shopping after church tomorrow when I'm already out. That freed up today to do housework. I was happy not to get dressed and get out the door today. I'm just hanging out in the comfy clothes now taking it easy.

I love palm tree pictures, and that bright blue sky was just the right background. That pretty day and our wonderful company made it hard to leave.

I think it has been a rough week all around. My Thursday night through Friday was a nightmare!! I will choose to blame the full moon.

I loved reading about that and seeing the video. Every time I see something like that, I think how cool it would be to work at Animal Kingdom.

Jill can Facebook some nice palm tree pictures. :thumbsup2
I think this whole country is more than ready for spring. ::yes::

Sometimes the pictures like that are the ones that can make you feel like you are right there - not the big icons or a character or anything classic, but just a picture of a beach swing or an empty table or a checkout line or something common.

I hope those 30's don't make their way back down here!

Maybe you could have Owen 'accidentally' ruin some of your kitchen stuff digging around in the backyard. :rolleyes1 Then you'd have a case for buying some new things. :goodvibes I don't want a Disney kitchen overall, as neither the red & black nor the blue & white are my colors, but I like my little Disney touches and utensils.

Time to get that new luggage out! I know you are soooooo ready for the trip and a stress free break. Enjoy!

I don't get stressed very often. I kind of let things roll off with an 'everything will come out okay' approach, but sometimes too many things go on at once, and my plate gets a little too full and spills over.

Sorry you had such a rough week at work. Just one more to get through and then Disney and Trent! Woohoo for you!

Hope you are busy packing your new luggage.

I was busy thinking how beautiful of a day your last day looked, then I remembered we were there enjoying the nice weather as well.

I just talked to Trent a few minutes ago. He is dying for us to get there. He said he misses us so much. He said it really bothers him not to see Bella growing up. He said he saw Brooklynn go through all the milestones, but he's missing all that with Bella, and she changes so much from visit to visit.

We have had better weather here, too, thank heavens!

I know several years I was past ready for Spring break.

Pop is comfortable for us, too. I think I could learn to be at home in several different resorts, though, if I got to spend more than just a night or two at them. Mostly, I just feel at home being in Disney World. ;)

The School Board is now saying they may make up another snow day the first day of spring break. It doesn't affect me this time, but if they do that, they will have a ton of teachers calling out. It will be a mess, I bet.

That would be a nice charm to have. It would be a cute reminder of our happy place and the beautiful times we have there.

I still can't pin my principal down to reschedule my observation. I was hoping to do it this past week while some of the food was still good, but now I'll have to get all new stuff. It's kind of annoying. I know he's busy, though, and he has to get in the three observations on the non-tenured teachers before he does the rest of us. I guess it just aggravates me that I e-mailed him when he first handed out the paperwork and said I wanted to go ahead and do it. It really could have been over with way back in October.

What a perfect way to end the trip - I bet the kids all had a wonderful time together...plus an excellent way to wear them out before travel. ;)

That palm tree picture is phenomenal. :lovestruc I can't wait to spy my first palm tree!!!!! I always peer out the windows of the fake monorail to try and see one.

Are you packing today?

They sure did, and the grown-ups enjoyed relaxing in the lounge chairs and just soaking up that gorgeous day. Weather permitting, we nearly always let the girls get in some swim time on the last day. It is the perfect way for them to exert some energy before getting on a plane or being in the car for a long time.

I think I am supposed to be hugging a palm tree next Saturday morning.

********************************************

I've been looking at the counter service menus to see what all I might choose to eat. Having the dining plan is going to be very different for me, because I won't be packing around a PBJ every day. The food is already paid for, so I will be doing like everyone else and getting full meals.

There really is a decent variety, as I see it. I figure I'll eat
a burger,
a salad,
a wrap,
a flatbread or pizza,
a chicken strip or sandwich,
a turkey,
a spaghetti or other pasta,
and a hot dog or corn dog meal.
That's 8, and that's what we get.
That sounds like a lot of food!

I'll take suggestions for the snacks and desserts.

Jill made a Crystal Palace reservation for Tuesday morning, so that will be fun. We have had dinner there three times, but never breakfast. It's before park opening, too, so I may be planning on taking some pictures along the walk down Main Street. :cool1:

This time next week, we'll be in Magic Kingdom or possibly at Wilderness Lodge throwing some quarters in a fountain. Then we'll go back to Magic Kingdom for the parade and fireworks.

Nice. :dance3:

This time next week... what a lovely thought! :cloud9:

How very nice that you will have the dining plan and will be able to indulge your cravings without too much attention to prices. :woohoo: Isn't it so fun to peruse the menus online thinking about what we'll eat in our happy place? :)

If you use a CS for breakfast, you get 2 drinks since there is no dessert and since you get a mug there is no reason really for a drink so I have always gotten 2 waters to carry into the parks.

If you can convince Jill to go back to Pepper Market, those are great use of a CS meal. Those dessert are great too, just like Sunshine Seasons.

Snack credit worthy snacks.

My favorite snacks have been:

cream cheese stuffed pretzel ~ MK Tomorrowland
school bread ~ Norway
strawberry shortcake sunday ~ MK Fantasyland/Ms. Pott's Cupboard

My favorite desserts are:
Chocolate "Moose" ~ Le Cellier
Creme Brulee ~ many TS restaurants

I think this is the PERFECT opportunity for you guys to eat at Wolfgang Puck Express. It is the absolute best use of a CS credit in all of WDW IMO (not just b/c of the cost but also the food). They have a huge menu for a CS place so I think you can all find something you like and it is very high quality food... more like TS to me.

Do you like barbeque? Flame Tree Barbeque is pretty good for a counter service credit! I love being on the dining plan, it's great having everything paid for ahead of time!!

If you guys find yourselves hungry at Downtown Disney, we think Wolfgang Puck Express is the best value counter service meal there is. I know you're big EoS fans (we are, too) but WPE is really good, too.

My favorite counterservice at each park:
MK - Casey's - can't beat a good hot dog. (I haven't tried CHH or that pirate place in Adventureland b/c it's always closed when I'm there)
EPCOT - Sunshine Seasons - such a great selection
HS - either Toy Story Pizza Planet or Backlot Express, although I'm not crazy about any CSs here.
AK - Flame Tree BBQ - great stuff!

Our favorite snacks on the DDP are those spicy cheese pretzels (they used to have them in Tomorrowland at MK but I don't think they're there any more - they are at HS somewhere), Mickey bars (of course), ice cream sandwich cookies, frozen lemonade. And the top 2 for us are definitely a Dole whip float and the make-your-own treats at Goofy's at DTD. Although I'm not sure the last two are still on the DDP as snacks - it's been awhile since we've been on the DDP, but they used to be.

There are so many snack options.... that are yummy!

Our favorites are Dole whips, Mickey ice cream bars, boxes of popcorn, sundaes @ POP, candy apples, slushies, bags of candy (rock candy), breakfast pastries, rice crispy treats....

Any of the desserts from Starring Rolls, Sunshine Seasons and Boulangerie Patisserie...

There is too much to choose from. You can even get fruit, drinks and bags of chips.

You will have so much fun trying out new snacks or getting some of your favorites!

We usually have some credits left at the end of our trips, so we use them in the gift shop for candy treats before we leave.

My DMom wants to do the Quick Dining plan this time for a change...... I can't imagine not making any ADR's.
She thinks it might be nice to not have to rush to a place for a certain time.

I don't know if I can give up going to the Table Services... I love them and there are still lots I havn't been to yet.

Time will tell. I don't have to make ADR's til March so I do have time to think about it.

I do like the idea of the free Resort mugs included in the plan. ;)

I'm going to be really interested to see how the Quick Service plan works out for you guys. I've always considered it, but haven't used it yet. DH would love knowing everything is paid for in advance, and DS isn't too great at sit down restaurants, so I'm thinking that QS would be a perfect fit. I'm going to be paying close attention to help me make up my mind for May, thanks for doing the research for me! ;)

Flame Tree is a favorite around my house, along with Sunshine seasons and Tangerine Cafe. It looks like you've gotten some great suggestions! :goodvibes

If you use a CS for breakfast, you get 2 drinks since there is no dessert and since you get a mug there is no reason really for a drink so I have always gotten 2 waters to carry into the parks.

They only let us get one drink while we were at Pop for breakfast.
